MAGICAL CHRISTMAS – eTwinning project

“Magical Christmas” σημαίνει “Μαγικά Χριστούγεννα” και σε αυτό το πρόγραμμα σχετικό με τη μαγική ατμόσφαιρα των Χριστουγέννων οι μαθητές δημιούργησαν ανάλογα έργα. Τα παιδιά βελτίωσαν τις γλωσσικές τους δεξιότητες, έφτιαξαν Χριστουγεννιάτικες κάρτες, εκφράστηκαν μέσα από ατομικές κι ομαδικές εργασίες. Μέσω της εκπαιδευτικής πλατφόρμας twin space οι μαθητές μοιράστηκαν κι αντάλλαξαν τις δημιουργίες τους, κάλαντα, συναισθήματα και ευχές.
Η συμβολή μου στο έργο παρουσιάζεται στη συνέχεια, χρησιμοποιώ την Αγγλική γλώσσα καθώς ήταν η γλώσσα επικοινωνίας μας στο πρόγραμμα. Επίσης, το υλικό και οι αναρτήσεις που καταθέτω μπορούσαν να μεταφραστούν ευκολότερα από τους συναδέλφους των άλλων χωρών. Εμπλούτισα το έργο με διαθεματικές δραστηριότητες, προσκάλεσα σε διάδραση τους συναδέλφους από τις άλλες χώρες και οι οποίοι δέχθηκαν αγκαλιάζοντας τις προτάσεις μας. Κατά αυτό τον τρόπο συνέβαλα και στήριξα τη συνεργασία μεταξύ των μελών του προγράμματος και το οποίο βραβεύτηκε. Οι μαθητές μου εργάστηκαν από την αρχή μέχρι την ολοκλήρωση της προσπάθειας με ενθουσιασμό και ζέση! Συνδύασα με θετικό τρόπο τη διδασκαλία των Εικαστικών με τη χρήση της τεχνολογίας μέσα στην διδακτική πρακτική του μαθήματος που διδάσκω. Η πρώτη αυτή εμπειρία αξιολογήθηκε από τους μαθητές, τους γονείς και την Εκπαιδευτική κοινότητα με θετικά σχόλια και έπαινο. Παρουσιάσαμε τα αποτελέσματα διαδικτυακά, ορατά σε όλους, κάνοντας χρήση διαφορετικών ψηφιακών εργαλείων – web 2.0. Επίσης, συμμετείχαμε σε φιλανθρωπικές δραστηριότητες, μέσα από εκθέσεις Εικαστικών των οποίων είχα την επιμέλεια, καθώς και με παρουσιάσεις από τους ίδιους τους μαθητές έγινε διάχυση και “άνοιγμα του Σχολείου στην κοινωνία”. Η ομάδα των Ελλήνων Πρεσβευτών eTwinning στήριξε την προσπάθειά μας. Ο Διευθυντής του 4ου δημοτικού Σχολείου Ζωγράφου κ. Κωνσταντίνος Πιτταράς ήταν αρωγός μας. Κρατήσαμε όλοι μας όμορφες αναμνήσεις.

About the project
Magical Christmas is a simple project about the magic atmosphere of Christmas. Children improved their language skills by sharing on the twin space platform Christmas cards, songs, and wishes.

PEDAGOGICAL INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY
Group work in small and big working teams and as individuals. Individual research of the pupils. Transformative learning through Art. Ict web 0.2 tools use in all stages. Twinspace use and contact through it with partner Schools. Results sharing through open to public events. The use of technology web 2.0 tools and the combination with the Art lessons was very important.

COMMUNICATION AND EXCHANGE BETWEEN PARTNER SCHOOLS

I used e mail, eTwinning events, photo uploads in my eTwinning profile, uploads in the School facebook, open to public presentations shared through twinspace platform. Also used, slide share, you tube, thing link, answer garden, blogs, etc.
COLLABORATION BETWEEN PARTNER SCHOOLS.
I was in contact from the beginning until the end with all partners through the eTwinning platform, twinspace and eTwinning live, mail, events, pages. We collaborated in all aspects. The Teacher bulletin and the project diary helped us and we exchanged ideas and material, easily. So it was easy for the pupils to collaborated and exchange creations, photos, messages and emotions. We collaborations with partners also in oreder to achieve the Quality label award

RESULTS, IMPACT AND DOCUMENTATION
Pupils improved English language. The use of many different ICT web 2.0 tools and the combination with the Art lessons was very important. We learned more about other countries, customs, traditions and searched for more. My pupils cultivated personal and social skills and especially pupils with low self-esteem became better in other subjects as well. Cultural heritage opened paths to my pupils. The use of technology web 2.0 tools helped us to open School to the society and gave benefit to the pupils. Open to public exhibitions and videos were shared. I have given links to all the documentation relating to the planning, progress and outcomes of the project and created open to public web pages through my blog and the twin space platform.

OTHER AWARDS
* The project has quality label. *In the 4th primary School of Zografou, Athens, Greece I was working, from the beginning until the successful end, in order to achieve the “eTwinning School label” award. * I encouraged my pupils to participate in pupils’ competitions about safe internet, my pupils, our School and me received certificates and award of participation in the SID 2018 – safe internet competition in Greece. Our digital thing link cooperative work received exceptional comments.* In my School, I created an award of distinction for the successful participation of our pupils, that worked so hard in the project.* During th School year 2017-2018 I received the “Awarded eTwinner” recognition.
