It is with great joy that I note that our e twinning project “Christmas Cards” has come to its completion. We have all received our Christmas cards, and our students felt great happiness. The project started in October with the participation of 20 students from Turkey (a lower secondary school in the city of Kocaeli) and Greece (our own lower secondary school). Initially, it included an exchange of letters between the students of the participating schools so that they could become acquainted with one another. As the program progressed, a lower secondary school from Chios also joined the initiative.
In the course of the program, an online meeting with the Turkish school was held shortly before the Christmas holidays, while the school from Chios shared posts presenting the Christmas customs and traditions of the island. From late November to early December, Christmas cards were created by students from all three schools. The cards were mailed in mid-December and reached all participating schools by early January.
The goal of harmonious cooperation, mutual acquaintance, respect, and creative Christmas interaction was achieved to the greatest possible extent. Warm thanks are extended to the teachers Mrs Hulya Yilmaz and Mrs Gizem Akgun from Turkey, as well as to Mrs Vasileia Zymari from Chios, for the excellent cooperation.
Warm wishes for a peaceful and happy 2026 from the Principal, the Art Teacher, and all our students!
