On Friday, 16 October 2015, the 1st Special Education Primary School of Korydallos was accredited with the British Council International School Award-Full Accreditation, a prestigious international award which recognizes schools that have excelled in the area of international learning.
The event was viewed by the parents of our pupils, Ms Maria Nomikou – Partnerships and Programmes Manager at the British Council Greece, Mr Kasimatis – Major of Municipality of Korydallos, Ms Lintzaropoulou – Public Relations Manager of Municipality of Korydallos, Mr Balamotis – Elementary School Counselor of Piraeus, Ms Irene Metaxa – Pireaeus Regional Advisor, the Principal of 9th Primary School of Korydallos, Mr Kariamis – the Nautical Club President of Piraeus, members of “Μέριμνα” Assosiation, Ms Rousaki – President of “Μέριμνα” Assosiation, Ms Maria Kouneli, teacher at 8th Elementary School of Korydallos, students from the Special Education Primary School of Perama, graduates students of 1st Special Education Primary School of Korydallos and also friends and relatives. The event was broadcasted by Greek National Television.
The event started with greetings from Mr Iraklis Palias – Principal of 1st Special Education Primary School of Korydallos, Ms Maria Nomikou – Partnerships and Programmes Manager at the British Council Greece and Mr Kasimatis – Major of Municipality of Korydallos.
Following, the students of Special Education Primary School of Perama gave us a special handmade gift to congratulate us. Thank you very much for this!
The event continued with celebrations, music and dancing from the students, who once more amazed the audience with their special abilities.
The event was concluded with the presentation of the Award to the students, by Ms Maria Nomikou, the representative of the British Council.
