Our 5th grade English coursebook introduces pancakes as part of the American breakfast (Unit 4, Lesson 2, p. 54), but they are also included in the English breakfast. After a discussion with the 5th grade learners at the Primary School of Sourpi regarding what an English breakfast includes, its nutritional value and its differences from the Greek breakfast, learners were invited to try the English breakfast at school!!! They had the opportunity to drink tea, have milk with cereals and enjoy delicious pancakes! As they have said, the English breakfast is quite enjoyable and the best part of it was the pancakes!!!

Interview with an Architect

In March we took an interview from Ms. Christina Theodororopoulou who is an architect. We want to find more information, because the job of the architect is interesting.

Do you only have work in Magnesia? If not, do you have more to do in Magnesia or somewhere else? I work everywhere, but more in Magnesia.

What does inspire you to sketch a house? I always have an idea of the place where the house will be. If the building is on a mountain or in the sea, the design will change.

How many years must someone study to do this job? In Greece, it takes five years. You can also have postgraduate studies which is for two more years or you can get a specialty.

Was the university difficult? No, it wasn’t very difficult. The lessons of the examinations were complex. There was not much theoretical examination, but there was a lot of sketching.

Is it difficult for someone to find a job as an architect? No, it isn’t difficult. You can work on your own, in a company, or work as a municipal clerk.

Can an architect decorate a house? Yes, of course he or she can decorate a house. S/he can change the colours, the furniture arrangement, the lights, s/he can even sketch new furniture.

Is it lucrative this job? It can be a lucrative job if one works with building licenses, renovations of houses and decorations.

Do you cooperate well with the workers? Yes, I cooperate very well with the workers because the sketches are easy to understand and we learn from each other.

Do you wear special clothes when you supervise the workers? Special clothes are not necessary. They have to be comfortable and casual. In big construction areas it is necessary to have a helmet on your head.

How many hours do you work per day? It actually depends on how much work you have to do, but it is definitely more than 8 hours.

Which is the most important sketch you have made? It’s the Museum of the Senses, which allows visitors to touch its surface and change it depending on their feelings at that moment.

Have you also designed other big buildings? I have designed two hotels. One of them is on the mountain and the other one is near the sea.

EASTER CUSTOMS

Our school participates this year in an eTwinning project that involves learners in exchanging customs and traditional dances with other European schools. For the upcoming exchange, our 5th grade learners have prepared presentations of the Greek Easter customs and of other information related to Easter that they looked up on the internet!

Easter in Greece

During Easter week Greek people do not eat meat, fish or milk. They go to the church every afternoon.

On Easter Thursday Greek housewives dye red eggs and bake ‘’tsoureki’’, a traditional sweet bread. At night, women decorate Christ’s Epitaph with beautiful flowers.

On Easter Friday night the Epitaph goes around the village or town, followed by people who hold candles. This is like a funeral, so everybody is sad.

On Easter Saturday we go to church at night and at 12 at midnight we celebrate Christ’s resurrection. Then, we go home and eat “magiritsa’’, a soup with animal liver, lungs and intestines. It sounds disgusting, but it is really tasty!

On Easter Sunday we roast a lamb and we hit each other’s red eggs. We listen to music and we dance. We usually celebrate Easter Sunday with our family.

Easter Sunday in Greece

At Easter I go to the church. After that, I help my dad to roast the lamb. Then, we light a fire to roast it. We eat the lamb, but we also eat ‘kokoretsi’ and ‘kontosoufli’ with my parents. We drink wine and hit each other’s egg. Some people shoot with a gun in the air. I drink coca cola. At the end of the lunch we dance.

Easter in Skiathos

Skiathos is one of the few areas in Greece that follows the Easter ritual of Agion Oros (a Greek area full of Orthodox monasteries with monks – women are not allowed in).

About 4:00 in the morning of the Easter Saturday, the Epitaphs from the two churches are carried out and they pass around the town.

The Epitaphs go along the narrow streets and paths of the island. People in all the houses have turned on the lights. The frankincense smells great! The two Epitaphs come back and meet at the church of the ‘Three Hierarchs’ and all the people come together and continue passing around as a group. They all go back to the churches at about 5:30 in the morning.

The people in the morning get ready for the Easter Saturday night celebration that is the Christ’s resurrection.

The red eggs

The red eggs of Easter. The eggs are a symbol of life and birth in many cultures. Especially the red eggs have been used in celebrations in China from the 5th century and in Egypt from the 10th century. It is in the 17th century that we find them in Christians and Mohammedans. For the early Christians the red egg is the symbol for Christ’s resurrection. In the Middle Ages people dyed red eggs to give them as presents for Easter.

Easter eggs with red colour. Some believe that people dye red eggs as a memory of the Christ’s blood, which He poured out for us, the people. Red is the colour of pleasure too. For some people, it is a symbol for the pleasure for Christ’s resurrection. The dying of the eggs was done on Easter Thursday, so it also called Red Thursday. In the past, the saucepan where they dyed the eggs had to be new and the number of the eggs had to be certain and they kept the red paint for forty days and they didn’t pour it out of the house. The colours for the eggs were made from different plants, like onions, poppies, violets etc. But the red colour was and is always the most favourite colour for the Easter eggs. Nowadays, most housewives use some kind of powder they buy from the supermarkets, giving thus the eggs a vivid red colour.

Natural decals. In the old times they chose leaves from plants and flowers and they put one of them on each egg. Then, they rolled up an old sock all over the egg, which they made secure with a string and then they dyed the Easter eggs.

The first dyed red egg. In the past, the first egg which they had dyed was for Virgin Mary and they put it at the shrine. Holding the egg, they were forming a cross in the air in front of the children to protect them from the evil eyes.

The resurrection of Jesus

Every Easter Saturday morning we go to the church. After the church the housewives make mageiritsa, a traditional Easter soup. The men prepare the lamb for Easter Sunday. In the evening we go again to the church and we celebrate Christ’s resurrection by lighting our candles with the Holy Flame. Then, we go home and form a cross on the upper part of our house door frame for good luck. After that, we enjoy our dinner as the fasting period is over. In the morning we go to the church. After the church we cook the lamb. At noon we eat the lamb and we drink wine. Easter is a very big celebration.

Easter rabbits

The Easter rabbit was actually a bunny. For the Saxons the bunny was the symbol of the goddess Eastre, who was celebrated in spring. This is where the word ‘Easter’ comes from in English. For the Kelts and Scandinavians, the bunny is the symbol of the goddess of motherhood and the spring fertility. The traditional bunny which brings eggs to children is of German origin. In Greece, every child’s godmother buys him or her a chocolate Easter bunny or egg. Do you know what they offer in some other countries?

In Australia they offer chocolate roosters.
In Sweden they offer chocolate foxes.
In France they offer chocolate bells.
In Great Britain they offer chocolate bunnies.

The Sunday before Easter

On Sunday before Easter we celebrate the entrance of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem. All of the churches are decorated with bay tree leaves and olive tree leaves. People who go to church on that day take tree leaves from the church at home.

In the old days, people used to give bay tree leaves to the newly-married couples for good luck. They also believed that these bay tree leaves would bring fertility to the couple.

People also believed that hitting someone with bay tree leaves had a healing power. They also used to hit their houses, their animals, their fields, their boats, etc for good luck.

POLAR BEAR

The polar or the white bears live on the icy Arctic areas in Asia and America. They have got white fur. Their eyes are black. They are 1,30 – 1,40 metres tall and they weigh about 500 kilos.

Most of the times we meet polars bears in groups of 10 or 12, or sometimes even more. They swim great and dive wonderfully under the water. They eat seals, fish, reindeer, roots and seeds.

In the winter, pregnant white bears go to their nests, dig in the ground and give birth to small bears. The mum loves the baby bears very much.

There are many dangers that polar bears face, for example, illegal hunting, lack of food and the fact that the place where they live becomes smaller.

AN ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT

The 5th Unit of the 5th grade English book invites learners to take action and work on an environmental project. It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that our 5th grade learners worked on finding a project that would help people realize the dangers against our planet and locate local environmental issues.

On a local level, our learners decided to hold a photo exhibition within the school, in order to show the beautiful aspects of Pteleos. Unfortunately, upon moving around the village and taking beautiful pictures, they discovered some ugly parts of Pteleos, full of rubbish! It was this moment that their pre-planned photo exhibition got its extra section, the embarrassing aspects of Pteleos. Here are only some of the pictures they took:

The photo exhibition will be held at our school entrance after Easter holidays, so our 5th grade learners decided to send a letter to the Mayor, in order to invite him to their exhibition and inform him about their findings. Here is the letter they wrote (in Greek, of course!):

Αξιότιμε κ. Δήμαρχε,

Είμαστε οι μαθητές της Ε’ Τάξης του Δημοτικού Σχολείου Πτελεού και σας γράφουμε για να σας γνωστοποιήσουμε τα αποτελέσματα μιας εργασίας μας.

Αυτή τη χρονιά, το βιβλίο των Αγγλικών μας είχε ένα κεφάλαιο με θέμα το περιβάλλον. Αποφασίσαμε όλοι μαζί να κάνουμε μια έκθεση φωτογραφίας. Θα παρουσιάζαμε όμορφα τοπία του χωριού μας. Αρχικά, πήγαμε με την καθηγήτριά μας και φωτογραφίσαμε μαζί τη φύση, αλλά το επόμενο Σαββατοκύριακο οργανωθήκαμε σε ομάδες και σκορπιστήκαμε σε διάφορα μέρη της περιοχής. Δυστυχώς, ανακαλύψαμε και κάποια άσχημα τοπία, γεμάτα σκουπίδια, και αποφασίσαμε να τα φωτογραφίσουμε και αυτά. Η έκθεση φωτογραφίας μας, λοιπόν, θα περιλαμβάνει τις ωραίες, αλλά και τις άσχημες εικόνες του Πτελεού και θα φιλοξενείται στην είσοδο του σχολείου μας μετά τις διακοπές του Πάσχα.

Θα ήταν μεγάλη μας χαρά να επισκεφθείτε την έκθεσή μας, να σας ενημερώσουμε για τις ανακαλύψεις μας και να σας παρακαλέσουμε και από κοντά να κάνουμε κάτι όλοι μαζί γι’ αυτή την κατάσταση. Τώρα που πλησιάζει το καλοκαίρι και θα έρθουν τουρίστες, θα είναι άσχημο να αντικρύσουν τις βρώμικες περιοχές και να μην ξαναέρθουν στο χωριό μας. Except for the photo exhibition, our 5th grade learners decided to organize a drawing competition, inviting learners from their school, as well as learners from other Greek or European Primary Schools to participate. The topic of the drawings will be “Save the Planet” and all participants will have to draw on an A4 piece of paper and send their drawing to our school. Here is the poster they prepared:

INTERVIEWING A LOCAL FOOTBALL PLAYER

On Monday 11th April we took an interview from the footballer Vassilis Siamanikos who plays in the local football team Protessilaos. He came to our classroom and we had prepared a questionnaire.

First, we asked him how long he has been playing football and he replied that he was in the local football academy since he was 14 years old. Now he’s been playing for 6-7 years in Protessilaos. The second question we asked was if he had taken part in any other types of sports teams and if so, which sport. He told us that he liked swimming, but there are not many facilities in Pteleos, so he chose football.

Then, we wanted to know if there are times when he feels like he doesn’t like football and he answered that he doesn’t like its competitive nature and injuries. After that, we asked him if he likes being in this team and he answered that he likes that because he feels that his co players are family and this year they won the cup. Also, we asked him what is the right age for someone to start training if he wants to become a professional football player and he told us that the sooner one starts, the better it is. The last question of the questionnaire we had prepared had to do with how someone can evolve from a local team to a bigger team with professional footballers. His answer was that someone must see him playing and acknowledge his talent or that he should participate in tournaments where players from lower divisions can go, play football and be selected if they are good.

In the end, when the questions from our questionnaire had finished, we started asking him questions that we wanted to be answered and of all these questions we learnt a lot of things. We learnt that footballers in Protessilaos are amateur players, meaning they are not paid, but they train six hours per week. Also, we learnt that personally he had won a prize and recently the team won a cup. We also asked what every player must do to get ready for a match and he answered that every player mustn’t go to sleep late the precedent night and before the match every player must eat something light, without too many fats, like spaghetti, or chicken.

We would like to thank Vassilis Siamanikos for coming to our school for the interview for our school newspaper. We learnt things that we didn’t know for the history of ”Protessilaos” and we’re excited. We always go to the stadium or at their football matches when they are far away, but now we decided to support the team even more.

Apart from the fact that we learnt a lot, we realized that when Mr Siamanikos was a child, he had the opportunity to train and learn how to play football in his area. As for us, we have to move to Sourpi, or Almyros to have the chance to take exercise. Therefore, we decided to write a letter to the football team management to express our interest in the creation of a football team for children our age. Here is the letter we sent and it has been signed by all the learners who want to learn how to play football:

CARNIVAL IN GREECE

Since the beginning of this school year the learners in the Primary School of Pteleos exchange presentations of national customs and traditions with other European Primary Schools. Here is what our 5th graders wrote about the Carnival celebrations in Greece.

CARNIVAL CUSTOMS AROUND GREECE

Naoussa. In Naoussa, every year people celebrate the custom of “Yenitsari” and “Boules” which has its roots since when Greece was under Turkish occupation. Yenitsaroi are men dressed in traditional Greek costumes and Boules are also men dressed-up as women. They all wear masks.

Halkidona. In New Halkidona, in Thessaloniki, Greece, people celebrate the Carnival playing yogurt fights. They throw yogurt at each other!

Skiros. In Skiros, people celebrate the custom of “the old man of Korela”. They wear the traditional costume of the sheppard and they hang big bells around their waist.

Naxos. In Naxos, men wear traditional Greek costumes and go around the neighborhoods and sing.

Galaxidi. People in Galaxidi have a strange, but funny carnival custom. On Clean Monday they throw flour and ashes at each other, so they turn white and in a minute they’re all covered in black! It is a very funny tradition and many people visit Galaxidi to participate in this traditional game!

Patra. Patra is one of the famous destinations during the carnival. People in Patras participate in a long carnival parade, dressed up in different costumes. There is also a treasure hunt game!

Clean Monday

Clean Monday is a big celebration in Greece. People eat seafood and vegetables. This day in the morning the people go in the countryside or the mountain and they fly a kite. They have a picnic there. Clean Monday is a very good and enjoyable celebration. Children usually have lots of fun!

Clean Monday is the opening day of the fasting for the Greek Orthodox Church and it means the end of the Carnival. It was named like this because the early Christians used to clean their body and soul on that special day, preparing themselves for the Easter holidays. Fasting lasts 40 days, the same as the days Jesus spent in the desert. On Clean Monday it is common that we eat ‘lagana’, which is a flat loaf of bread, and beans soup without oil. Traditionally, it is the last day of the year we can dress up for the carnival and we go out and fly kites. Clean Monday is celebrated 48 days before Easter. GAΪTANAKI

Gaitanaki is a traditional Greek dance that we dance during the carnival. It is a colourful and funny dance!

We need 13 people for this dance! One person is holding a wooden pole with 12 ribbons hanging from its top. The ribbons have different colours and every person is holding a ribbon.

When the music begins, the dancers move towards the pole, go under the other dancer’s ribbon, move far from the pole and then towards the pole again! A colourful braid is created on the pole when the dance finishes.

This dance is a symbol of the circle of life. We move from happiness to sadness, from winter to spring, from life to death and the opposite!

A CARNIVAL GAME

During the carnival Greek people organize many games for children to play. Sometimes they win and sometimes they lose! Sometimes they dress up, and sometimes they don’t!

Valmas was a game that was played in the village of Penia. There were two teams and each one was tied on each side of the rope. The winner was the team that dragged the other team towards its side. It was a special game because after the game they had funny dialogues, like a play.

CARNIVAL IN PTELEOS

People celebrate the carnival all around Greece. In our village, the carnival celebrations take place on the last Sunday of the carnival period, just before Clean Monday. This year, we celebrated the carnival in the central square of our village on March 6th.

The celebration this year was great! The local choir sang beautiful traditional songs. Our school participated in the celebrations, too! Our PE teacher, Mrs. Despina Founta, taught us the traditional dances. We danced the traditional ‘Gaitanaki’ and the ‘Pepper’ song, which was a lot of fun. We also danced some other Greek traditional songs.

A great party followed our presentation of the dances and in the end we burnt the king of the carnival in a big fire that people lit in the central square.

A SCHOOL TRIP TO THE NEWSPAPER ‘THESSALIA’

On December 9th, 2010, we visited the printing house of the local newspaper “Thessalia”. We had the opportunity to see how they print a newspaper and discover some new information.

We had prepared questionnaires and our guide, Ms Hrapalou, answered all our questions. First of all, she said to us that “Thessalia” has been circulating since 1898, but she could not inform us about the number of copies that they sell every day. Secondly, she told us that there are about 30 reporters who work for the newspaper.

Thirdly, she told us that reporters are not the only people needed for a newspaper to be published. There are people who work for the printing of the newspaper, photographers, editors, accountants, the chief editor, the manager, a person who is responsible for the newspaper circulation and the drivers who deliver the copies. Then, we asked her how the reporters know what is new and we found out that they use the internet, the TV and, of course, they go out to see what happens.

In addition, we asked her how they choose the articles which will be in the newspaper. Ms Hrapalou told us that the chief editor is responsible for that. Also, we all wanted to know how much it costs to publish each issue. She did not know the exact cost, but she informed us that they sell the newspaper for 0,50€ only on Mondays and buying the newspaper on one of the rest of the days costs 1,00€.

As our school paper issue takes about two months to be published, we wanted to know how long it takes them to prepare each issue. To our surprise, we discovered that it takes them about 4 hours to prepare an issue! Finally, we asked what kind of problems they face and Ms Hrapalou informed us that one of the biggest and most common problems is when the roll paper is cut in the printing machine during the printing of the newspaper. It is very difficult for them to change it and it takes time.

Ms Hrapalou also showed us old issues of the newspaper and the machines they used to have in the past. Back then it took them a lot of hours to print with these machines!

We really enjoyed this visit to the printing house of the newspaper “Thessalia”. It was fun and we discovered many things. We would like to thank Ms Hrapalou once again for being so nice to us and for explaining everything so well!

Our 5th grade English coursebook presents in the form of a listening practice task the pancakes, a delicacy that is usually included in the English breakfast. Our learners, triggered by the discussion in the classroom, found information about the English breakfast and wrote articles about it. In addition, having tasted the English breakfast at school, they presented their thoughts and impressions for the English school paper! Finally, they wrote recipes for the pancakes!

In February we decided to have an English breakfast at school.

Our English teacher made pancakes and she brought cornflakes and tea. My classmates and I bought milk, honey, chocolate and strawberry syrup.

When we started to eat I felt great. First, we ate cornflakes and after that we ate the pancakes. They smelled fantastic! After that, we drank a cup of tea.

That day I was excited because I think that it was fantastic and I want to do it again one day!

English breakfast at school is very beautiful, because we eat a lot of different things for breakfast: pancakes, tea, praline, marmalade, milk with corn flakes. It’s a very good breakfast and we like it. And we said thank you, miss and you did a lot of things for us!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!!!

I liked English breakfast at school. English people have a good breakfast for children. I want to eat again English breakfast, I liked it very much. My friends liked English breakfast, too.

Last Wednesday we had English breakfast with our English teacher, Miss Vivi Hamilou. The children brought different things. We were all excited and impatient, because we had never eaten English breakfast before!

The food that we ate was delicious! We ate a lot! We ate pancakes that our English teacher cooked. We ate the pancakes with jam, honey and praline. The children who ate a pancake with praline could not eat another one because they had enough! We drank tea, but some children who didn’t like it drank water.

I think this breakfast was fantastic and delicious and I am going to eat it every morning!

In England people eat a very big breakfast. They eat pancakes, milk, eggs, and tea. That’s very good because people work better. Some students did a recearch on the good breakfast. Some kids ate a big breakfast and the other kids drank only milk. Then they wrote a test. The children who ate a big breakfast did very well at the test, but the children that drank only milk did not write very well.

People in England believe – and that’s right – that breakfast must be the main meal of the day, because they all need energy and strength for the rest of the day.

So, they all have a rich breakfast that has cereals with milk, eggs with bacon, sweet pancakes and they drink fresh orange juice and, of course, hot tea! People in England drink a lot of tea in the mornings and in the afternoons.

We should all do the same and we should all have a good breakfast, so we will be able to continue our day and be creative!

Pancakes
by George Papargiris (5th grade)

Ingredients:

Solid ingredients
2 cups of flour
2 tablespoons of baking powder
2 tablespoons of sugar
Some salt
Vanilla

Liquid ingredients
2 cups of buttermilk (or milk)
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of olive oil

Procedure:
Sift the flour and pour all the solid ingredients in a bowl. Then pour the liquid ingredients in a bowl and mix. Pour the solid ingredients in the mix with the liquid ingredients. Mix them and wait for 5minutes. Warm a frying pan for 5 minutes. Pour a little oil or butter in the frying pan. Pour half a cup of the dough in the frying pan. Be careful, the fire must be medium! When you see small bubbles, you must turn around the pancake. Put each cooked pancake one on top of the other and serve with praline, jam or honey!

KARAGIOZIS

When I was four years old, very small, I used to watch Karagiozis, a shadow puppet of a popular Greek shadow play. This theatre is very funny and I love it very much. They played Karagiozis, Aglaia, uncle-George and other characters whose names I don’t remember! Karagiozis is a lazy, poor man and has got a lot of laziness. His wife is Aglaia, who sometimes asks Karagiozis to do a lot of chores, but he doesn’t do them! He wants to be lazy for life!

TISANE WITH LEMON AND GINGER

Ingredients:
1 handful of tisane leaves and flowers
1 tablespoon of fresh grated ginger
3 teaspoons of lemon juice
honey
sugar

Preparation:
Boil in a pot half a liter of water with tisane and ginger for one minute. Remove them from fire and let them rest for five minutes. Drain in cups and add lemon, honey and sugar.

Our 6th grade English course book presents the story of “The fifty-cent piece” (http://americanfolklore.net/folklore/2010/07/the_fiftycent_piece.html), a strange ghost story that attracted everybody’s attention. Chryssa Papalexopoulou, inspired by the story she read, decided to present some other stories that she has heard or read about!

The fire
At some weekend, a girl invites her friend to the house because her parents had been on a trip. The girls lit some candles and they saw a horror film in the living room. When the film finished, the girls slept together in the bedroom. Late at night, as they were sleeping, the radio turned on and the girls woke up. A voice told them “Girls, hurry up, the living room is on fire” and the radio stopped. The girls could smell smoke and they ran to the living room. The girls had forgotten to blow the candles and the small window curtains were on fire! Fortunately, they managed to put out the fire with some water and they slept again, feeling puzzled about the radio voice…

The watchman
One day, some teens went camping in a place that someone had recommended. When they arrived, they were so tired from the travelling and they slept in no time. At midnight, one of the teens woke up because she heard a noise. Suddenly, two red eyes appeared on one side of the tent! She started screaming and all the others woke up. She told them what had happened and a man who was there told her that a hundred years ago a watchman of the camping had been murdered and some people say that he still watches over the place…

The boy
Last year a girl and her best friend went at the girl’s village. When they arrived, the children from the village told them a horror story. They told them that a young boy fell from the bridge into the river and he died and they said that today, anybody who crosses the bridge, he\she will see the boy screaming for help but when you leave the bridge the boy disappears. The same afternoon the girls went to the bridge to see if it was all true. They started to walk along the bridge when a boy appeared, screaming for help. The girls started running and they stopped at the end of the bridge. When they turned back, the boy had disappeared…

MY VILLAGE

The name of our village is Pteleos. It is in central Greece. It is near the sea.

We have got clean beaches and beautiful shops. An important city near Pteleos is Volos. There are a lot of mountains here. You can eat fresh fish, meat and olives here.

One of our festivals is on August 15th. We celebrate Virgin Mary. In the morning, people go to church and at night they go to the central square and have dinner in taverns. We also have another festival, the Carnival, in February. Children dress up and go to the central square and dance. They also go to a party at a club and they play treasure hunt, they throw confetti, dance and drink soft drinks and hot chocolate.

Many tourists visit Pteleos in the summer. They go to the village of Hamako, the Sea Museum in Achillio, the castle and, of course, the beaches!

The story of my aunt Kiki,
22nd May 1974 – 8th May 2008

Kiki was my aunt and she was born on 22nd May, 1974. She was always a good girl in her junior years.

When she was in the 1st class of Primary School, she was playing in the garden, but, one day, when she was playing there, she hit her knee and the ambulance drove her to the hospital. Luckily, this accident wasn’t serious, but she screamed and cried a lot, because it hurt. She didn’t play in the garden for four days, but after a while, she felt well. From then on, she was playing games without having any accidents.

When she was going in Junior High School and Senior High School, she used to walk on mountains and plains. When I was born, Kiki was 24 years old. She loved me very much. She taught me lots of things! Unfortunately, she died on May 8th, 2008.She died when she was 34 years old and I was 10 years old. When she died, I was very sad, because I loved her as much as she did. She had a problem with her heart.

Her life was short but I will always remember her!
