THE REAL ENGLISH BREAKFAST
by Maria I.

The English breakfast is quite heavy and it is not something that they eat every day. They often eat is as ‘brunch’ (something between breakfast and lunch), because if you eat it, you will not be hungry for many many hours. The beverage they prefer in the morning is the one they enjoy during the day, meaning tea. They usually put milk and sugar in their tea. But, what is there to eat?

 Sausage baked in the grill. The English sausages are very strange, they have less spices than ours.
 Grilled bacon, or even fried.
 Eggs sunny-side-up.
 Tomatoes cut in half and baked until they are soft and warm enough.
 Mushrooms. They are usually roasted with a little olive oil, cooked enough to be crunchy.
 Toasted bread. They usually spread plenty of butter on it.
 Beans. They don’t usually boil them, they get them from tins.

Except for all these, there are also many more things to eat. They usually include black pudding, brownies, pancakes and fried potatoes. Also, there is always a bottle of ketchup, or brown sauce on the table. What do you think? Can you eat all these and not get a stomach ache?
