1st Primary School of Almyros – November Issue – Future Schools

FUTURE SCHOOLS
by Chris P. (6th grade)

I think schools in the future will be fantastic! Why do I think that? Because we all see that technology moves forward.

Schools in the future will have computers and children will have computers, too. They will probably not have a board to write on. Maybe there will not be human teachers, because there will be robot teachers that will teach the subjects in a very simple way. All children will have a robot and, when a child is ill, a robot will go to his/her house. The students will eat in school and do their homework there. There will also be a flying bus to take the children from home and return them from school.

I hope schools in the future will be fantastic, very good and funny!

LET’S DANCE!
by Effie T. & Georgia S. (6th grade)

Here, in Almyros, there is a dance teacher, Mrs. Ritsa Karanika, who teaches modern hip – hop, oriental, latin, tango, jive, cha – cha to like who like dancing. She was kind enough to answer to some questions about dancing.

First of all, we asked her what she thinks dancing offers to children and she answered that it offers a beautiful and worked-up body and maybe for some children an opportunity to have a good job. Then, we asked her how she has decided to set up her dance school and she answered that, when she was young, she loved this job and she chose to do this professionally.
Our next question was for how many years she has been teaching dancing and she said to us that she has been doing it for 8 years. We also wanted to know why she likes dancing and she informed us that it combines both gymnastics and fun!
After that, we asked her how many performances she has organized and in how many of them she has participated and she told us that she has organized 16 performances and participated in 12 of them. In the end, our last question was about the cities where she teaches dancing and she said that she teaches dancing in Thessaloniki, Athens, Zagora, Stefanovikio, Risomilos, Almyros and Volos.

We would like to thank her for her time and the information she gave us. We advise you to go to this dance school because it is fantastic! We love our teacher very much, because she is a very kind and good teacher. This dance school is at the place where KTEL used to be in Almyros and its name is “Magic Steps”. It is suitable for all ages and – in our opinion – Mrs Karanika teaches in the best possible way!

BEAUTIFUL DESTINATIONS
by George K. & Jim M. (6th grade)

A place we recommend for visiting is the Atomium in Brussels, Belgium.

You can visit the Atomium, a unique building, as you can see in the picture. It was ready in 1958 and the man who made it is André Waterkeyn. He wanted to represent the nine atoms of iron crystal and he wanted his building to be the highest in the area. Its height is 110m.

Atomium is the symbol of Brussels with a magic view from the top sphere. In general, Belgium is a beautiful country and we suggest you visit it some time in the future!

A DAY IN MY LIFE
by Maria E (5th Grade)

My name is Maria Ekizoglou. I am 10 years old and I go to the fifth class of Primary School. I get up at 7 o’clock because I have to go to school. I eat my breakfast. Then, I wear my clothes and my shoes. I brush my teeth and make my hair. Then, I go to school.

At school, we learn Maths, Language, Geography, Physical Education, History, Music, English, German and Physics. School starts at 8:15 and ends at 1:30 or 1:55. In school we have six teachers.

Then, I get home from school and I do my homework. I eat my lunch and I study for my English and German afternoon lessons. Then, I go to my English school and after that I go to my German school. After that, I get home and play with my friends. Then, I go to the ballet school. I like dancing very much.

Before I go to bed I watch TV and I eat my dinner. There are many programs on TV but my favourite is the “X-Factor”. I go to bed at ten o’clock because it’s time to sleep.
