Tuesday, 11 February 2020, we celebrate Safer Internet Day (SID). It was a great opportunity to learn, exchange, participate, create and play the Kahoot!!

Each student of our class ( 2th Primary School of Artemis) is creating his- her own avatar so that we can introduce ourselves in the project.

Carnival Masks by 2th Primary school of Artemis- Greece.

Mpoules or Genitsaroi is a very old carnival custom from Naousa Imathia-Creece. Its roots begin from the ancient times and it is probably related to the tribal initiation ceremony such as adultness ceremony.

The Students   Dimitrios and Fillip present “Mpoules or Genitsaroi “

Making of Logos

Lady-Lent, in most places, was a paper painting depicting a woman who looked like a nun, 7-feet-high, crossed arms because she was praying, a cross because she was going to church, and no mouth because she was fasting. At the end of each week, beginning on Saturday after Clear Monday, she had a leg cut. The last one was cut on Good Saturday. They wrapped this piece of paper well and hid it in a dried fig or walnut (Chios area), which they placed with others. Anyone who found it was considered lucky and gourmet. In some places, the seventh foot was placed in the bread of the Resurrection, and whoever found it brought a charm.( KYRA SARAKOSTH)

6th grade students of the 2nd Primary School of Artemis – selected as a traditional carnival mask (book) to make the “Boules” mask. We started making it … and finished  it!!!

… And it’s time for each student to make their own carnival mask …

Dance of the broom

Men are more than queens. The “unlucky” is dancing with the broom. In the change everyone is going to change queens and anyone who is left without a queen is dancing with the broom!

This is our common work, the “Carnival Masks StoryBook”.

Despite the quarantine, the children continue to work creatively. In this e-book we collaborated with many schools from Europe and in the framework of the etwinning program “Carnival Masks Storybook” the children wrote fantastic stories about carnival masks of other countries and illustrated them. Among them are the works of his students 6th grade  of the 2nd Primary School of Artemis.
