“Student for One Day” at the Department of Biology of the University of Athens.
On Monday 30th January 2023 the students Karamolegkou Argyro, Kousoutzi Panagiota and Schisa Stefania of the B class of the 4th GEL Rhodes visited the Department of Biology of the University of Athens to spend a day like students in the university’s laboratories accompanied by the biology professors of our school. The students were greeted by dr. Eleni Giannoutsou who guided them to the Botanical and Microbiology laboratories of the University. The program included a lecture on microscopic observation of plant cells and mitosis, laboratory exercise of microscopic observation of plant cells, presentation of electronic microscopes and bioreactor microbial cultures, and discussion about the curriculum in the Department of Biology.
