he Department of Communication, Media, and Culture of Panteion University, the first of its kind to be established at tertiary level in Greece, has been in operation since 1990. Initially called the “Department of Communication and Media”, it was renamed in 2002 as the “Department of Communication, Media and Culture” to better describe both the content of studies and its educational and academic profile.
The Department’s mission is: to explore the phenomenon of communication at a theoretical, historical and empirical level; to educate executives for the public services, public relations, and press offices of the public and private sector; to instruct and train journalists and qualified staff for the press and for digital media as well as for all forms of communication and information.
