Learning Training Activites Virtual Mobility in Poland. Online Activities.

The Polish nobility was iconic mobility, with online activities. We couldn’t travel to Poland because of the pandemic period and the restrictions that we had all partners travel abroad. The mobility began on the 7th December of 2020 until the 11th December of 2020. We followed the e-learning from distance methodology. We used Google meet as a tool for online communication and the Google drive of the project as a repository for the working material. Students working from their homes either cooperating with teachers and other students using PowerPoint, jump board, movie maker. In Google meet we separate students on different groups from the countries partners to cooperate.

On Monday, we began with the official opening, hosting school present our teams and their team. After that each partner and the hosting school show video presentations of each school and video presentations of the native partners’ countries. We make activities about European solidarity and equity among the people, so students present their work for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and their local cultural traditions; we used the Google drive of the project to upload the material of the students.

On Tuesday in the same hours and with the same tools we make activities for the eradication of Illiteracy, magazines of the project, international day of tolerance, and a traditional calendar. On Wednesday using the same tools we make activities about the immigration day and the world poor day, we cook from our homes and making videos of it European and ethnic recipes, and presenting quizzes at Kahoot.

On Thursday we wrote lyrics about a new European Song and Dance common for all partners and easy to dance it from their homes. We recorded our dancing according to the restrictions of the pandemic. Italian students sang it from their school according to the restricting.

On Friday we collected the vocabulary and basic functions in all mother tongues from the countries involved in the project. Students uploaded the material to our project Google drive. Students began the recordings of the words and expressions that we would use in the dictionary. We used our native languages and the English language. We made drawings about each word and expression that we made and we still recording words and phrases in both English and native languages. A simple farewell ceremony happened and having the evaluation and the conclusions of the mobility and the project. We combined ICT and Art lessons and teachers. We created our e-book about the “dictionary of diversity” combined words, images, phrases, recordings something like interactive storytelling, and we saved it in our Google drive. We combined these activities during ICT, language, music, and art lessons and teachers from schools, as we made activities about diversity, peace, tolerance, equity, human values combined. We saved hour material to our website, etwinning platform, and to our Google drive.

The benefits for the participants can be reported in two dimensions. The first dimension is dictated by the opportunities provided to students to come into contact not only with the culture of the venue school but also with many other different cultures. This is attributed to the fact that students from partner schools collaborate with variant ICT apps and programs through online activities. Through these online activities, students had the opportunity to learn a completely different educational system, cultural issues and compare it to their own countries’ one, become familiar with other cultures, broaden their horizons, meet people who would otherwise never get to know, become witnesses of different cultures and create new opportunities. The virtual activity helped students become familiar with other learning processes and gain additional work experience within a different context. Students improved foreign language competencies, better awareness of the European project and the EU values, increased motivation for taking part in projects (formal/non-formal education) after the virtual mobility. Students learned new ICT apps such as Kahoot, movie maker, Lumen 5, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Drive, Google Meet. Students learn about European solidarity, Human and European Values. Students worked on combined lessons with ICT, teachers, music, art, English, and language teachers. Students working with no Formal activities, which is a better way for understanding. These extracurricular activities allow your child to learn something that could stay with them for a lifetime. Students developed creativity, and critical thinking skills, teamwork, and leadership skills as they worked in teams. Away from the classroom and using the learning from distance, it was a good opportunity for students to develop their social skills, meet new friends and become more confident
