23rd Science Projects Workshop at the Future Classroom Lab by European Schoolnet

Εκδήλωση για την απονομή των βραβείων για τους διαγωνισμούς του Scientix &STEM Alliance που πραγματοποιήθηκαν κατά την διάρκεια της STEM Discovery Week 23-27 Απριλίου, διοργάνωσαν οι παραπάνω φορείς. Συνολικά 47 εκπρόσωποι καθηγητές και όχι μόνο συμμετείχαν στην εκδήλωση. Από το διαγωνισμό του Scientix οι βραβευμένοι ήταν 32 και από την πλευρά του STEM Alliance 12 και 3 πρεσβευτές του Scientix.
Μεταξύ των σχολείων που βραβεύθηκαν ήταν και το 2ο ΓΕΛ Ωραιοκάστρου για το STEM lesson “STEM & IBSE in action: earthquakes and engineering in the classroom (Erasmus+ eHAND meeting at the 2nd General Lyceum of Oreokastro – Greece))” που παρουσιάσθηκε στο Erasmus+ eHANd project LTTA meeting Που έγινε στο Ωραιόκαστρο μεταξύ 23-27 Απριλίου 2018.
Η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιήθηκε από 22-24 Ιουνίου στις Βρυξέλλες. Όλοι οι βραβευμένοι είχαν την ευκαιρία να παρουσιάσουν την εργασία τους. Παράλληλα με την βράβευση οι διοργανωτές οργάνωσαν αρκετά workshops, δίνοντας έτσι ένα μεγαλύτερο ενδιαφέρον και περιεχόμενο στη συνάντηση. Το Σάββατο οι συμμετέχοντες είχαν την ευκαιρία να ασχοληθούν με “Stem in the FutureClassroom Lab for primary or secondary και eConfidence for primary or secondary.
Την Κυριακή οργανώθηκαν workshops ύστερα από επιλογή που είχε γίνει τις προηγούμενες μερες από τους ίδιους τους συμμετέχοντες.
Έτσι τα workshops που
υλοποιήθηκαν είχαν μια καταπληκτική θεματολογία και είχαν πολύ μεγάλο ενδιαφέρον αφού ήταν οι ίδιοι που τα επέλεξαν. Ενδεικτικάαναφέρουμε μερικά:
- “Designing the school of the future- developing the skills of tomorrow in STEM careers”
- “Converting STEM Discovery Week activities into lesson plans for other teachers to implement”
- “Tips to include Scientix resources and different scenarios (become a blogger for Scientix)
- “Science and Science fiction: science in films and the myth of standing eggs”
- “Interstellar missions- should we go out there?”
- “The Nature of Science and Scientific Inquiry (understanding the why and how behind science”
- “Sure, I’m interested in your idea/project, you’ve got it”
Διάχυτη ήταν η εντύπωση στο τέλος της εκδήλωσης, ότι τέτοιες συναντήσεις (όχι μόνο για βραβεύσεις) βοηθούν όλους μας να δούμε και να ακούσουμε νέες ιδέες, ιδέες άλλων συναδέλφων, να ενημερωθούμε αλλά και το σημαντικότερο να ανταλλάξουμε απόψεις, σκέψεις και φυσικά να γνωριστούμε.

Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω την ομάδα του Scientix και του Stem Alliance για την ευκαιρία να βρίσκομαι στην εκδήλωση αυτή αλλά και για την δουλεία που μας παρουσίασαν.

The award ceremony for the Scientix & STEM Alliance contests that took place for the winners of the STEM Discovery Week (23-27 April) was organized during the weekend of 22-24 Jun 2018. Among others, a total of 44 teachers representing their schools attended the event. There were 32 award winners from the Scientix contest and 12 STEM Alliance ones and 3 ambassadors.
Among the winners was also the 2nd General Lyceum of Oreokastro with the STEM lesson “STEM & IBSE in action: earthquakes and engineering in the classroom” presented during the Erasmus+ eHAND meeting at the 2nd General Lyceum of Oreokastro.
The event took place in Brussels at the European Schoolnet offices. All the winners had the opportunity to present their work. In addition to the award ceremon
y, the organizers arranged several workshops, thus adding more interest and content to the meeting.
On Saturday, participants had the opportunity to work with “Stem in the Future Classroom Lab for primary or secondary and eConfidence for primary or secondary.
On Sunday, workshops were organized following a selection made in the previous days by the participants themselves. Therefore, the workshops that were carried out had amazing subject matter and interest since they were chosen by the participants themselves. Here are some examples:

It was a common impression at the end of the event that such meetings (not only for awards) help us to see and hear new ideas, the ideas of other colleagues, to be informed and most importantly to exchange views, thoughts and, of course, to get to know each other.
