Erasmus+ LTTA meeting in Gravina in Puglia

Our school had the pleasure to participate in a perfectly organised meeting of Learning, Teaching and Training Activities in Gravina in Puglia, Italy from 04/05/2018 to 09/05/2018 through the Erasmus+ project “G.A.M.E.”.

The activities that were organised by the Italian teachers and their students were remarkable, as were the excursions and organised trips in the area. We were able to visit the city of Bari and its Planetarium, the Unesco Heritage site of Alberobello with its “trulli” (unique dome stone buildings), the seaside city of Polignano and the ancient, also a Unesco Heritage site, city of Matera which was also Cultural Capital of Europe for 2019.

In addition, the activities organised and implemented in the school and the city of Gravina were exceptional. Above all, we were particularly impressed with the final day in Altamura where “Music on Stage” took place. Students had organised a European Parliament debate which took place there and was followed by a musical performance by the Italian school.

All in all, students were able to present themselves, their country and school, take part in cultural and artistic activities in Polignano, Matera and Gravina, write articles about their experience and of course feel like European citizens growing up in an inclusive, democratic and diverse European environment.
