The Christmas Truce 1914

This is the true story of a spontaneous truce which happened at the front line, in the trenches of World War 1. It shows us how powerful the message of the birth of Jesus Christ is. It is so powerful, that it can stop a war and unite enemies, even if it is just for one day; Christmas Day. It reminds us all, of what it means to be human, the values that we all share and hold dear to us. The things that unite us all are more than the things that divide us.

Christmas Celebrations around Europe!
Once again we e-Twinned for a Christmas project to celebrate our Christmas traditions! We continued the project we started in the year 2016-2017! We made Christmas crafts which we shared with our partners in the project and commented on each other’s crafts! We created a Google document where we gathered all our images and comments! We also wrote a collaborative Christmas poem which we illustrated! You can see a video of our e-Twinning corner at school where we have pinned up Christmas cards received from partner schools and our National Quality Labels which we achieved for a previous project “On a single berry of grapes”

Christmas celebrations around Europe!
Tα Χριστούγεννα πλησιάζουν και το σχολείο μας συμμετέχει στο e-Twinning project “Christmas celebrations around Europe!” όπου οι μαθητές μας θα ανταλλάξουν χειροποίητες Χριστουγεννιάτικες κάρτες με μαθητές από άλλα σχολεία της Ευρώπης. Θα τραγουδήσουν τα παραδοσιακά μας κάλαντα και θα ακούσουν παραδοσιακά κάλαντα των άλλων χωρών. Επίσης, θα φτιάξουν Power point παρούσίαση με τα Χριστουγεννιάτικα μας έθιμα. Τέλος, θα μάθουν και θα ευχηθούν “Καλά Χριστούγεννα!” στις γλώσσες των σχολείων που συμμετέχουν.

Δράσεις:
Οι μαθητές από όλες τις τάξεις που συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα, με τη βοήθεια και των άλλων δασκάλων, φτιάξαν τις καρτούλες τους και τώρα ταξιδεύουν προς Ισπανία, Πολωνία, Γαλλία και Ρουμανία. Σε λίγες ημέρες θα τις θαυμάζουν μαθητές στα αντίστοιχα σχολεία αυτών των χωρών! Δείτε μερικές!
Άρχισαν να έρχονται οι καρτούλες των μαθητών των άλλων χωρών. Τις εκθέτουμε στον τοίχο της αίθουσας εκδηλώσεων του σχολείου μας.
H κυρία Πετκάκι (η Μουσικός του σχολείου μας) φωτογράφησε κάποιες από τις κάρτες των παιδιών και πρόσθεσε μουσική με τα κάλαντα. Αυτό το αρχείο μπήκε στο πρόγραμμα του e-Twinning. Aπολαύστε τo!
Στη συνέχεια:
Οι μαθητές μας ευχύθηκαν Καλά Χριστούγεννα στις γλώσσες: Ισπανικά, Καταλανικά, Γαλλικά, Κρεόλ, Ρουμάνικα, Πολωνέζικα, Ελληνικά και Αγγλικά. Πατήστε στο ηχητικό αρχείο παρακάτω και ακούστε τις!
Επίσης, άκουσαν παραδοσιακά κάλαντα από αυτές τις χώρες, έπειτα τραγούδησαν και ηχογραφήθηκαν και τα δικά μας παραδοσιακά Χριστουγεννιάτικα κάλαντα. Αυτό έγινε με τα παιδιά του Ολοήμερου τα οποία παρακολούθησαν εκδήλωση από μουσικούς και έπειτα με την συμμετοχή και καθοδήγηση της δασκάλας της Μουσικής τραγούδησαν τα κάλαντα.
Οι μαθητές δημιούργησαν συνεργατικό power point για τις Χριστουγεννιάτικες παραδόσεις της Ελλάδος και αναρτήθηκε στο Twinspace του project.
Το project συνεχίζεται και τη χρονιά 2017-2018. Έχουν προστεθεί κι άλλες δραστηριότητες οι οποίες θα παρουσιασθούν προσεχώς. Το project παρουσιάστηκε στο 3ο Διεθνής Συνέδριο για την Προώθηση της Εκπαιδευτικής Καινοτομίας. Το παρακάτω link είναι για τα πρακτικά του Συνεδρίου όπου περιγράφεται το project. Christmas time!
Yes! It’s Christmas time again! A time to spend with family and friends. It’s a joyous occasion, let’s send handmade Christmas cards to friends living far away! The students of the 6th grade at our school made cards for their e-Twinning friends in Palermo, Italy. Here are some photos of them.
