When People Got Tired of the Dark Ages
and Started Painting Ceilings
The Renaissance was a period in history, roughly from the 14th to the 17th century, when art, science, and learning flourished in Europe. The word “Renaissance” means “rebirth” because people rediscovered and improved upon ideas from ancient Greece and Rome. During this time, great artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo created famous works, and scientists like Galileo made important discoveries. It was a time of new ideas, creativity, and progress.

Ah, the Renaissance—when people decided it was time to start painting, inventing, and thinking like geniuses! Leonardo da Vinci was out there sketching helicopters before helicopters even existed, Michelangelo was busy making ceilings look fancy, and Galileo was probably saying, “Hey guys, the Earth isn’t the centre of everything!” A time of rebirth, indeed. I just wish someone had invented pizza delivery back then!
