Monaco is the second-smallest sovereign state in the world. Monaco is a very rich country. Its population of 38,367 in 2023 makes it the most densely populated sovereign state. The principality is about 15 km (9.3 mi) from the border with Italy and consists of nine administrative wards, the largest of which is Monte Carlo.
Ah, Monaco—basically the world’s posh little shoebox. It’s so tiny, if you sneezed, you might accidentally end up in Italy. The people? Let’s just say there are so many that finding space probably feels like playing hide-and-seek in a packed lift. But no worries, with all that wealth floating around, they likely have lifts made of gold!
