Το σχολείο μας συμμετέχει στο πρόγραμμα Boudless classroom σε συνεργασία με σχολεία της Καλιφόρνιας και της Φινλανδίας, υπό το συντονισμό και την καθοδήγηση του πανεπιστημίου του Ελσίνκι. Οι μαθητές δημιουργούν video για διάφορα θέματα τοπική ιστορία, κοινωνική δικτύωση,περιβαλλοντικά, ανθρώπινες σχέσεις και χρησιμοποιώντας την πλατφόρμα του διαδικτυακού εργαλείου MOVIE, τα επεξεργάζονται, τα παρουσιάζουν στους μαθητές των άλλων σχολείων, τα συζητούν.

The BOUNDLESS CLASSROOM connects students, teachers and international communities with mobile technology
The Boundless Classroom project links participating schools and teachers in Finland with schools in California, Greece, Singapore and around the world, creating a prototype for a Global Sharing Pedagogy through the use of mobile technology. Using video clips from portable devices, and a secure online application developed in Finland (MoViE), Finnish students have engaged in collaborative, interdisciplinary storytelling such as:
- Documenting and analyzing recycling habits and services
- Recording field trips for a digital portfolio
- Creating narratives to understand historical events.
Digital storytelling using MoViE is simple to implement and can be used to illuminate the curricula across disciplines. It focuses on student-driven, creative and open-ended work. Building on the success in Finnish schools, the idea is to make MoViE available to a small number of schools internationally, facilitating collaboration between teachers and classrooms across boarders, and encouraging an international perspective in students’ learning.
