Vocational school for transport and transportation management in Kazanlak is a school with over 60 years of history. Since its creation in 1956, the school has undergone many stages of transformation and has become a modern competitive educational institution with established prestige and authority in the rapidly changing conditions of the educational process, capable of forming students` knowledge, skills, national and human virtues in their preparation for socialization and professional realization. The high school offers training in four specialties: “Business Informatics”; “Automotive Mechatronics”; “Haulage Technic” and “Electrical Equipment for Transportation Technic”. In order to make our education more flexible and to keep our children in school, we also offer the possibility of an independent form of education.
The philosophy of the school is based on correlation between traditions and innovations. Educational challenges of the twenty first century enhance the leading role of school and teachers in a very important process of student formation and creation such a complete personality. Our vision is to develop well rounded, confident and responsible individuals who aspire to achieve their full potential. We continue do this by providing a welcoming, happy, safe, and supportive learning environment in which everyone is equal and all achievements are celebrated. On the light of this we are working on different levels and have variety of activities. There are more than seventy experienced teachers who work hard and improve themselves in order to follow our goals. The school vision is highly supported by the local community. More than 650 students feel loved, respected and encouraged to develop to their fullest potential. Our students are from different ethnic and religion community. The number of Roma students is not so big from one to three in class but there are no existing barriers between students in each class. We aim to provide a safe learning environment with a tolerant atmosphere which creates a sense of belonging among the families. We maintain an inclusive environment which acknowledges and respects children from diverse family and cultural backgrounds. In order to foster motivation, intellectual, emotional and physical development among students our school team work together and take part in
many international programs, national and European projects. The participation in this partnership contributes sustainable development and provokes active citizenship. Formal and non-formal learning should be in strong collaboration because of their common goals. We believe that education should take place in a fully inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all and that all children should learn to value religious and cultural differences. Our school strives to be at the centre of the local community with positive and effective links to the wider and global communities.
