Benny was no ordinary bat. He wasn’t the usual brown or grey like his friends. No, Benny was a bright white bat, which made him stand out in the dark caves where he lived. His wings were so white that they glowed in the moonlight, and that often caused a bit of trouble.
One evening, as Benny hung upside down, he overheard a group of bats talking about the annual flying race. It was the biggest event of the year, and every bat from miles around would compete. Benny had never been in the race before, but he decided it might be fun. The other bats laughed when they saw him—his wings were too bright and he couldn’t help but giggle.
As the race began, Benny zoomed into the air, flapping his wings wildly. He didn’t take the race too seriously—he was too busy showing off his funny flying skills. Benny darted in circles, made loops, and even pretended to fall asleep mid-air, leaving everyone in fits of laughter. Some bats tried to follow him, but they kept getting tangled in his trail of giggles.
To everyone’s surprise, Benny won the race—not because he was the fastest, but because his hilarious antics made everyone forget to fly properly. They were all too busy laughing at Benny’s funny stunts to keep up with him. From that day on, Benny was known as the funniest bat in the cave, and every year, he made sure to add a little laughter to the race.
