Friday and Saturday activities

Friday

Students taught each other their mother language in small groups, focusing on everyday life themes.

Another group of us worked on the daily newspaper project, preparing videos and comparing photos and relevant material.

After that the Greek students accompanied by Michael and our teachers visited the National Museum and were guided among the different exhibits.

A small snack followed after sightseeing the center of Copenhagen (the City Hall , some churches , the central train station, Tivoli, the statue of Hans Christian Andersen etc.). Then we met back at the museum our Danish hosts, who presented to us the exhibits, explaining their local history.

Saturday

We met all together, Greeks and Danes, teachers and students together with some of the parents at the AFUK (best translated as Academy for untamed Creativity). Here we had the opportunity to participate in some theatrical group activities with main purpose the acquaintance of the two groups and the establishment of a better understanding between us.

Afterwards we all participated in some gymnastics activities and watched a presentation/show of a Dane artist. We visited the former Carlsberg factory, which is now a recreational area, including a museum, playgrounds and parks. We walked back to our school at about 18:00 and had dinner after meeting the parents of all the Danish students together with them. The parents had prepared a very nice dinner while the Danish students gave a nice concert. The Greeks presented later some of their traditional dances and almost everybody joined in to dance. We really had a very nice time together and the party went on switching to modern Danish music. Everybody had fun and was really sorry to stop dancing.
