4 L.I.F.E.
LITERACY AND INCLUSION THROUGH FUN AND ENTERTAINMENT
4 LIFE,is a two- year multilateral project which will include primary schools from countries of Italy, Northern Ireland, Greece, Turkey,Croatia, and Spain. The project will directly involve approximately three thousand pupils and teachers, and an unlimited number of other people such as parents and local community members.
The project aims to encourage collaboration and inclusion of the weakest students in the classroom, to develop skills such as text comprehension, text development and text writing but with highly interesting and loving methodologies, to make the weakest or most reluctant student work in the classroom, to inform teachers about new teaching methodologies and to encourage reading literature
4 LIFE aims to combine education and inclusion issues as we believe that reading comprehension and writing skills and reading books are the best means for the student to be involved and play a greter part in schools and in society in general. 4LIFE has a certain moto: Reading and Writing is Life and Life is Inclusion

A JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD (but not in 80 days)
one of our project’s final product is a theatrical adaptation of the famous Jules Verne and it was created so that our students could learn more about about our partners’ countries. Music, food , landscapes, customs were discussed while travelling to their countries. Meanwhile Mr Fix did his best to destroy the project. Will he succeed?
OUR SCHOOL’S VISIT TO SPAIN
In the frames of our Erasmus project 4LIFE, two of our teachers Eleni Tzintzidou and Stauroula Karabetsou travelled to Valencia to visit Hulio Verne school. Our teachers visited the host school, met many of the teachers and taught some Greek words and phrases regarding school and family. They also showed a special puppet show they had prepared to the Spanish students. Mrs Irod explained to them what the teaching methods of the school were, and how students and teachers communicated and integrated with each other. She also answered our teachers’ questions.Students of Hulio Verne school showed some of the special projects, like Global Minds, they take part in, and how they are involved in all things that take place in school and around the world as well. Teachers were also shown special tools that help students learn in a more creative way and be included in the learning process.Tools such as Code & Go Robot Mouse and Body Planet magic T-shirt amazed our teachers and suggested their use at our school as well.
Our teachers also enjoyed their visit in Valencia as they got in touch with the most cultural view of it. Not only did they visit the most remarkable sightseeings of the town but they also came in touch with the spirit of the Flamengo dance not as tourists but as habitants of the city. .The visit in El Pamar was really remarkable and impressed all the teachers.
For these reasons we would like to thank our Spanish partners for inviting us to their school and for all the care and support they provided throughout the project period. We enjoyed it and we also learnt a lot
With our regards
Our school’s first visit to Darica, Turkey
As part of the program, two teachers of the school, Mr.
Efstathios Siatras and Mrs. Eleni Tzinzidou, visited the city of
Darica, Turkey for the first meeting of the program partners.
Mr Mustafa Balci explained to all partners what the philosophy
of the project was and showed us various methods that could
support it. With the help of the students we played games and
through them we got the idea of how we could work so us we
can include all students, educate them and amuse them as
well. We were shown a play with the famous local hero Hotza.
Local songs ,games and dances were also performed. On the
other hand the partners visited classrooms and taught students
various expressions in our language .We also showed our
puppet show, which was performed in ourcountry with the title
”The Stachomasochtra” by Alexandros Papadiamantis
Zagreb, Croatia
In the framework of the 4 L.I.F.E program which concerns the
integration of students through attractive methods such as
theater, dance and technology, the teachers of our school Eleni
Tzinzidou and Mourtzinou Aikaterini went to Zagreb, Croatia in
the period from December 12 to 19, 2021 in order to promote
the Greek cultural heritage of our country. The teachers
presented to the young students a puppet theater adaptation
entitled "Stachomazochtra" by Alexandros Papadiamantis, as
well as a video with the history of the city of Volos and its
attractions. They taught the Croatian students basic Greek
phrases and words and distributed local sweets and Christmas
cards made by our students. They were also taught local
children’s dances and participated in constructive and
traditional games. Finally, they were guided around the city of
Zagreb, as well as other neighboring cities. It was an amazing
activity for both our teachers and the participating teachers
from Turkey, Spain, Italy and Northern Ireland, strengthening
the bonds of the mission members.
Sicily
In the framework of the Erasmus + student exchanges with
"Project title:4 L.I.F.E: Literacy and Inclusion through Fun and
Entertainment", two teachers of the 15th Primary School of
Volos visited the Sicilian partner school, Cinisi, from January
30th to the 5th February 2022. The teachers attended
workshops at the Istituto Comprensivo Statale Cinisi, in
collaboration with students and teachers from the other
countries (Turkey, Spain, Croatia, Northern Ireland),
participating in the same program.
At the same time, all the students presented their work,
combining technology with knowledge. The students
exchanged a wealth of information not only in the context of
the project, but also in presentations with cultural content. The
teachers of our school, Mrs. Tzinzidou Eleni and Mrs.
Anastasopoulou Sofia, presented a puppet theater adaptation
of the short story "Stachomazochtra" by Alexandros
Papadiamantis and taught elementary Greek expressions to the
young students.
The program of the meeting also included an educational visit
to the city of Palermo, which developed into an important
cultural center, since it combines cultures from Africa,
Byzantium and Normandy with monuments that give the city a
special and rare atmosphere. It was an enriching experience for
the members of all groups so special, yet different.
Additionally, we all developed strong friendships with both our
hosts and the rest of the expedition.
End of the 4 life project, in Northern Ireland
When students and teachers meet through their culture, their
language and their cultural heritage, education triumphs."
And education triumphed once more, the last of his Erasmus
4L.I.F.E. program, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, when the
teachers of the 15th Primary School of Volos – Eleni Tzinzidou,
Sofia Anastasopoulou and Siatras Efstathios – visited the St.
Teresa’s, together with their colleagues from Italy, Turkey,
Croatia and Spain.
There once more teachers visited classes, were informed of the
country’s educational system, were shown around beautiful landmarks and found out more about the Irish cultural
heritage. The activites there were really interactive as we were
shown traditional sports and games….that we played and
dances …that we danced
We also discussed the final topics about the project
International Book Play
1.Puppet
We read a traditional novel from a regional writer and adapted the story at a puppet show. Students made the puppets and the helped built the settings. This is our proud job

- Around the World in 80 Days
In this case we read the well known novel and tried to place the characters in a theatrical play based in our school in the modern world. Phileas Fogg and Passepartout are teachers who travel to our partners’ countries and Mr Fixx was not a detective but a teacher who is against Erasmus projects and tries to prevent the 4 L.I.F.E project. In this case students learn about the main characteristics of these countries, capital city, food, music, landscape etc. So we created the play

International Day Book, April 23rd 2022
Creating photos and reading books at school. Unfortunately Covid cases prevented us from creating a huge celebration at school. However we created a book bazzar with students’ exchanging their books.
Tell a story to your Buddy
Sometimes we think reading is not fun or that it is boring
But what if we exchange stories between one another? Stories about our culture and tradition. On the following video we are reading the story of mythological Goddesses Demetra and Persephone and explaining the change of seasons in the world

Sailing to a New World
A great task for every student is to learn to be a member of a team. The best way to include all students even the shiest is to play the game Sailing to a New World. In this case the children form teams of 4or 5 and go sailing to a new land that has no laws or rules. During their trip they come across terrible weather conditions which force them to throw into the ship all things( values or items) that are not important to them and keep only the necessary to begin a new life.

OUR PROJECT’S FINAL EXHIBITION AT SCHOOL
At the end of the schol year and at the end of the project we have decided to celebrate Erasmus Day and also the ending of another one succesful project our school has brought to an end. So our assembly Hall was converted into an Erasmus Museum with all final products and books and leaflets from our project
The Headteacher Mr Siatras and the contact person of the project Ms Tzintzidou have made a speach and informed all the students of the importance of Erasmus Days and what has the school achieved through theses experiences
Erasmus days October 2022/ 4L.I.F.E. project
On October 18th we celebrated Erasmus Days once again at our school. At the same time we decided to celebrate Our project 4 L.I.F.E. which has come to an end. This time we did something different. We talked about Erasmus philosopher, Erasmus projects and the importance of Life Long Learning in our lives. We talked about ka1 and ka2, Erasmus studies and internships and even Erasmus+ Youth Projects. It was a beautiful celebration. The main speeches were made by teachers from our school but also from former students from school who have participated in Erasmus projects and their feedback made this celebration more heart warming. The NPO USB ( United Societies Of Balkans) supported the event by stressing the idea of volunteering and handing out leaflets of Erasmus+ Youth Exchange
Dissemination of the project at the Local Press
Bellow you will find our project’s mobilities at the Local Press. There is also an article of how Covid has changed the way Erasmus mobilities were held and how erasmus has become a great patient that suffered a lot
