This year our students celebrated the European day of Languages by saying ‘YES TO LANGUAGES‘. They drew pictures, made posters, wrote letters, sang songs in all 3 foreign languages taught in our school, English, French and German. The teachers who participated in our school are Maria Louvari & Eleni Theofilopoulou –English, Sotiria Spiropoulou-French, Panagiota Yiaggou-German.

1. ” Friendship class Denmark/Greece”

This year we are starting a friendship class with a school in Denmark between the students of D’ Class / 4th Grade in both schools. Let’s hope we have a fruitful relationship through the years and hope to meet in person some time in close future. It is a friendly communication between Ølgod in Denmark and Thessaloniki in Greece.

In these days the skills of 21st century are very important for our future. Most important ones of them are Creative Thinking ,Critical Thinking, Collaborative Thinking. Unfortunately, in the world we live in, children grow up closed to cooperation, unaware of critical thinking, far from creative thinking. Children do not want to produce anything, they want to reach everything easily. They want others to solve their problems instead of themselves. So these skills should be supported.

3. When I grow up

Encourage children’s curiosity, have kids enjoy role-playing games, organize local trips and invite people with experiments to introduce them to professions.

4. We are united against climate change

Linking sustainability to responsibility connects the present to the future and respects the heritage of our ancestors. With our project, we aim to raise world citizens who will raise awareness about world problems and have the knowledge, skills and responsibilities to contribute to the solution of current problems. As a result of the work we will do during the project, we aim to prevent the waste of natural resources by recycling waste, reduce the amount of waste and even reset it to zero if possible, increase our students’ environmental awareness, help them discover the causes and effects of waste, and learn how to deal with waste at a personal and social level.

ΣΧΟΛΙΚΟ ΕΤΟΣ //SCHOOL YEAR 2022-2023

We are participating in a job-shadowing Erasmus+ & e-twinning project ERASMUS+ TWO-e (new page) organised by the DSDEN 24, Direction Départementale des Services de l’Education Nationale de la Dordogne (120 km far from Bordeaux),France .

Two teachers from France, Anne-Sophie and Francois, visited our school in early November for jobshadowing. It was an excellent experience. We exchanged ideas about teaching, our schools, our countries and cultures. They observed various classes at school for a whole week (from 1st Grade to 6th Grade) and different school subjects with a specific interest in Art classes.

We also went sightseeing in Thessaloniki so as to visit the most characteristic monuments and places of interest in our city. Finally, we exchanged gifts before their departure. It was a great pleasure meeting them.

Με χαρά σας ανακοινώνουμε τη συμμετοχή μας σε ένα νέο Ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα e–twinning με τίτλο ‘ Letters On Air ’ .

Στο πρόγραμμα συμμετέχουν οι μαθητές της Δ’ και Ε’ τάξης. Στόχος μας είναι να συνειδητοποιήσουν οι μαθητές την αξία της Αγγλικής γλώσσας στην καθημερινότητά τους, σχολική και μη. Κατά τη διάρκεια του προγράμματος οι μαθητές θ’ αλληλογραφούν με μαθητές από σχολεία άλλων κρατών. Τα θέματα άπτονται της διδαχθείσας ύλης και είναι σύμφωνα με τα νέα προγράμματα σπουδών. Οι συμμετέχουσες χώρες είναι η Ελλάδα, η Ιταλία, η Ρουμανία, η Ουκρανία και η Ελλάδα.

We are very happy to inform you we are participating in a new European project:‘ Letters On Air ’.

The students of the 4^th and 5^th Grade are participating in the project. Our aim is for them to realize the importance of learning English and how it can be used in their everyday life, at school or not. The students will correspond with students from other countries and the themes are relevant to what they are being taught at school. The participating schools are from Greece, Italy, Romania, Ukraine and Turkey.

SCHOOL YEAR 2021-2022

In November 2022 the school’s Eramus+ project on Robotics entitled “ Evaluation of competencies in Robotics Learning Scenarios ” came to an end. Three years of exceptional work, of so many experiences and so many new things learned in the field of Educational Robotics and its implementation in the school’s curriculum! Teachers and students had a chance to meet teachers and students from and in the partner’s schools during our transnational meetings. We all worked together, paricipated in common projects and enjoyed a unique experience.

The European Day of Languages is celebrated on 26th September each year. It is a great opportunity for the pupils to listen to and expand their knowledge of European languages, to get to know the diversity of European culture and promote friendship and tolerance.

SAFER INTERNET

Taking advantage of on-line teaching and e-learning we talked about Internet safety, cyberbullying, the pro and cons of internet, its good and bad side and lots more. They saw and read relevant material, watched videos, played quizzes and games, worked in groups and in the end they produced their own material which you can see below by clicking on the links of their work. We used the platform of e-class to store the material and upload their work.

Εκμεταλλευόμενοι την εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευση και τις πλατφόρμες της e-class αλλά και της e-me ασχοληθήκαμε με την Ασφάλεια στο διαδίκυο. Οι μαθητές διάβασαν υλικό, είδαν βίντεο, έκαναν κουίζ, έπαιξαν παιχνίδια, εργάστηκαν σε ομάδες και στο τέλος δημιούργησαν το δικό τους υλικό που μπορείτε να δείτε παρακάτω κάνοντας κλικ πάνω στους τίτλους των εργασιών τους.
