Last year ,while I was working on a seminar by Mrs Marianthi Kotadaki on Reflective Teaching , I created an Action Plan for Unit 3 -Lesson 2 -Asking and Giving Directions , which had always been a headache for me since the material offered in the school coursebook was rather difficult for my students to deal with! So I had to reflect on an Action Plan that would motivate my students ,help them assimilate the relative vocabulary and finally enable them to produce a set of directions (oral and written). The results last year were more than satisfying ,so with a few adjustments I implemented this action plan this year too.I really enjoyed it once again so I thought of sharing it with you.

Below you can see some of my students’ final products this year! It was quite difficult for them to design a small map with the route from their school to their house, so we discussed some of their mistakes but I thought it would be better not to use… my red pen on their final project.
One of my favourite activities! Well done! Sometimes they ask if they can draw an imaginary neighbourhood and I encourage them to do just that, so that they can work with whatever they have put down to paper, and they even like to work in pairs; working with their imagination is so precious, especially this year that they don’t have an Arts teacher. I also enjoy drawing on the board my own little town or village first, so that they can see it’s not that hard to do! OK, I actually think I like getting compliments about my drawing, hahaaaaa!!!!!
