25/9/1982: Παγκόσμιο ρεκόρ ακοντισμού πετυχαίνει στα Χανιά η Σοφία Σακοράφα, με βολή στα 74,20 μ.
Ο προηγούμενος έλληνας που κατείχε παγκόσμιο ρεκόρ ήταν το 1970 ο Χρήστος Παπανικολάου στο άλμα επί κοντώ (5,49 μ.).
