24/9/1828: Ίδρυση της Ταχυδρομικής Υπηρεσίας
Τα πρώτα γραφεία της Ταχυδρομικής Υπηρεσίας ανοίγουν στο Ναύπλιο (τότε πρωτεύουσα της Ελλάδας), στην Τρίπολη, στην Επίδαυρο και στο νησί της Σύρου. Σχετικός δικτυακός τόπος: http://www.elta.gr/

24/9: Ευρωπαϊκή Ημέρα Σχολικού Αθλητισμού
Η συγκεκριμένη ημέρα αποτελεί μια ευκαιρία κινητοποίησης μαθητών/τριών, γονέων/κηδεμόνων, εκπαιδευτικών προς έναν ενεργό τρόπο ζωής, ο οποίος συμβάλλει στην καλύτερη υγεία και ενισχύει τις σχολικές επιδόσεις. Στόχος της Ευρωπαϊκής Ημέρας Σχολικού Αθλητισμού είναι η αλλαγή κουλτούρας της νέας γενιάς προς έναν δραστήριο, πιο ενεργό τρόπο ζωής που οδηγεί στην υγεία, σωματική και ψυχική.
