This video brings together the poems my students created as part of Unit 3 of the 6th Grade English Coursebook, which focuses on mythical creatures. As a creative writing task, students were invited to imagine, describe, and give voice to their own creatures through poetry, combining language learning with imagination and personal expression.
The activity aimed to strengthen descriptive skills, enrich vocabulary, and encourage confidence in written English, while also allowing space for originality and playfulness. This video is a small celebration of their ideas, their effort, and the unique worlds they created through words.
This eBook was created as part of the task “My Favourite Book and Comic Hero”, where students were invited to present characters they love from books and comics. Using Book Creator, they combined writing, images, and personal voice to introduce heroes who inspire, entertain, or stay with them long after the story ends.
The activity aimed not only to practise writing and descriptive skills in English, but also to nurture a genuine love for reading by giving students the freedom to choose stories that matter to them. Through this task, reading became personal, meaningful, and connected to each student’s interests and imagination.
A Living Project: Our Virtual Music Museum 🎶
This term, our 6th grade students took a creative journey into the world of museums through Unit 5, transforming their learning into something truly special: a virtual music museum.
Inspired by the idea that museums tell stories, students became curators of their own digital spaces. Each one selected a music artist, band, or genre they love and built a small “exhibit” around it. Using the Emaze platform, they combined language, creativity, and digital skills to present their ideas in an engaging and meaningful way.
But this is not just a finished project — it is an evolving experience.
Our virtual museum is designed as a living project. As we move forward, students will continue to:
In this way, learning does not stop when the unit ends. Instead, it grows — just like a real museum that updates its collections over time.
What makes this project especially meaningful is that it reflects their world. The music they chose represents their interests, identities, and voices. Through this process, they are not only practising English, but also expressing who they are.
You can explore our virtual museum here:

We hope you enjoy walking through our students’ musical stories as much as we enjoyed creating them!
Stay tuned… our museum is still growing! 🎧
