  • On December 3rd, we celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities — a day to remember that everyone is unique and everyone deserves kindness and respect.

  • This special day reminds us to include others, help one another, and make sure everyone feels welcome at school.

  • December 3rd is a great time to celebrate our differences and learn how we can be good friends to all.

A story about a boy and a little puppy. At first, the boy only noticed what the puppy couldn’t do. But as time went on, he saw how brave, playful, and loving the puppy really was.

The important lesson we can learn is this:
Everyone is different, and that’s okay. We should always be kind and accept others just the way they are.

Just like the puppy, people may face challenges, but that doesn’t stop them from trying, learning, and doing amazing things.

So let’s remember to be kind, not to judge quickly, and to look for the good in everyone.

1. Everyone has something special about them — we should be kind and accepting.
The boy learns to accept the puppy even though it has a disability, just like he does.

2. Don’t judge others too quickly.
At first the boy only saw what the puppy couldn’t do, but later he saw what it could do.

3. Focus on strengths, not weaknesses.
The puppy is playful, loving, and determined. That’s what matters most.

4. Kindness can change someone’s heart.
The puppy’s love helps the boy open up and feel happier.

5. Challenges don’t define us — we can still do great things.
Both the puppy and the boy show bravery and courage despite their disabilities.

THE CRACKED POT

1514

In this story, the pot felt sad because it had a crack and thought it wasn’t good enough. But later, it learned that the water it leaked helped beautiful flowers grow along the path. We all have our own strengths, even if we don’t always see them. Our differences can make the world more beautiful. Just like the cracked pot, each of us has something special to offer. What we think is a weakness might actually be a gift to others.

So let’s remember to appreciate ourselves, be proud of who we are, and never forget that everyone is valuable in their own unique way.

The short film Ian – A Moving Story tells the story of Ian, a boy born with cerebral palsy. Though he wants to play and make friends, he faces discrimination, bullying, and exclusion. Over time — with perseverance, creativity, and the kindness of another child — Ian is able to overcome many difficulties.

  • Everyone deserves respect and a chance — no matter how different they may seem.

  • Kindness and empathy can make a big difference in someone’s life.

  • Being different is not a weakness — it can be a part of what makes someone special.

  • If someone is excluded, we can choose to be the friend who includes them.

So let’s all remember: we should accept and respect each other, help those who feel lonely or different, and treat everyone with kindness. Because when we do, we make our class — and our world — a better place for everyone.”

  • MORALS:

  • “Different does not mean less — everyone deserves respect and friendship.”

  • “A small act of kindness can change someone’s life.”

  • “Don’t judge people by how they look or move. Look at their heart, not their body.”

  • “Inclusion and empathy make us stronger together.”
