EU Code Week Pilot Summer School 2019

6 Ιουλίου, 2019 Κατερίνα Γλέζου

From 9 to 12 July, 25 primary schools teachers, selected from the network of EU Code Week Leading teachers within the 28 EU member states, will gather in the Future Classroom Lab in Brussels to attend the pilot Summer School.

Co-organised by EU Code Week and Code.org, this unique pilot training opportunity will provide primary school Leading teachers with tools, hands-on workshops and training resources to implement computational thinking and coding in their classrooms.

This four-day training aims to expand the teachers’ knowledge of computational thinking and coding by exploring the EU Code Week methodology and the exclusive programme Computer Science Fundamentals from the Code.org curriculum to develop more effective mechanisms to implement coding in schools.

Moreover, the teachers will receive tools to pass on this knowledge to their community of teachers and will be encouraged to create new learning resources, as well as become mentors of the EU Code Week Deep Dive Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) planned for September 2019.
