How are you? What do you do at school to help the environment?
In our school, we as pupils collect plastic bottles’ caps and our Headmaster sends them to a recycling factory to buy a wheelchair for someone with special needs. Our school also has a big box for batteries in which the children put batteries and then our headmaster sends them to a recycling factory. The students and the teachers don’t throw away rubbish in the playground and in their classroom. And for this reason we put rubbish bins in the classroom, the teachers’ office and playground for recycling. Also, we turn off the taps and when we aren’t in our classroom we turn off the light to save energy. Finally, we went to the river Anavros and cleared all the rubbish. For all this, our school has been awarded by the organization Helmepa.
