Erasmus+ project 

In 2023-2024 we participated in a STEAM project entitled ‘Micro:bit-Escape Room (2023-1-HR01-KA210-SCH-000158384) coordinated by Croatia.  The project’s goal was the development of resources and environment for encouraging computer literacy of elementary school students through the use of Microbit and modern educational tools based on experiential learning. During the project 10 (ten) teachers and a reliable number of students were trained on programming using the Logo language and the implementation of Micro:bit in projects. We purchased 10 Micro:bit 2nd generation which were used to participate in an international competition between teams of the partner schools in Croatia, Greece and Portugal. As a result there were Robotics clubs established in the school with a significant number of students asking to be enrolled.

Erasmus+ project

This project, which is also coordinated by Croatia, started on 01/09/2025 and ends on 31/08/2026 (KA210-SCH – Small-scale partnerships in school education) is entitled  Artificial Intelligence for Teachers (AI4T). The project objectives are to develop and enhance AI Literacy among educators, i.e to equip teachers with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in Artificial Intelligence to improve their teaching methodologies. Also to develop adaptable and engaging educational materials focused on AI and digital skills for use in classroom settings. The project is running and the teachers in the school are being trained on using AI in the classroom. 

Our school is very interested in the teachers and students being prepared for the new age in education which is open to areas such as Educational Robotics and the use of AI in the classroom. We want both teachers and students to be prepared for the demands of our times, to be equipped with digital and programming skills, to develop the 4C skills,  to learn through doing, to experiment with new tools and equipment, to see ‘School’ as a place where we learn but also have fun while learning.
