A year ago the 1st and 2nd Primary Schools of Akrata along with Aigeira Primary School participated in the video challenge ‘I love my hometown’ hosted by the Greek School Network. Each school had to make a video that presented its hometown. In our case, all three schools worked together and collected material to present the area. The pupils of the 1st and 2nd Primary Schools of Akrata even wrote the captions in English during the English lesson. The video came out really nice. Let’s remember it:
Within the framework of the cultural project that’s been held in our school entitled ‘Adopting Platanos Folk Art Museum’, Class ST’ designed a museum leaflet in English, so that when a foreing tourist visits it, they can read some basic information regarding the museum. The pupils wrote the text about the history of the museum and the exhibits, they made a museum interior map, they wrote all the practical information a tourist might need and made drawings of the area and the museum’s interior. It was a wonderful group work!
Please, click on the photo to flip through the leaflet.
Today it was a beautiful day! Class C’ got out in the schoolyard and revised the alphabet and vocabulary playing hopscotch.
Today there was fruit delivery in our school! Each pupil was given a box of fruit that included apples, oranges, pears, and even fruit salad. Given the opportunity, class E’ role played a fruit market during English class. It was fun!

Class C’ acted the story of Pinocchio today. Pinocchio has got two friends, a doll and a teddy bear. They play many games together. But Pinocchio is sad, because he’s a toy and not a boy…
Last Thursday class E’ came all prepared to play canteen! They made really imaginative menus, they made paper food, such as muffins, doughnuts, spinach pies, even 3D pies! They even brought their bags, that’s how ready to go shopping they were!

The staff was polite and the prices were so reasonable, that business went really well. Suddenly, there was a robbery! People entered the canteen asking for money!S called the police from her cell phone and even hit the robbers herself with her bag! The other customers run after the robbers and caught them! Brave kids!
Fortunately, everyone returned home safe and sound! Such fun!
