There is no doubt that technology is a contemporary means that has improved our quality of life and is becoming more and more necessary for children both educationally and recreationally. However a large number of people believe the opposite.

Fist of all , nowadays children spend all their free time in front of a computer screen and get a lot of enjoyment out of playing video games , chatting with their friends through social media etc. So, if the Government replaces teachers with computers, children would spend an extremely large part of their day in front a computer which means that serious harm to their health may incur.

Secondly, computers are not animated beings which means that they cannot impart moral values to children , something that as a matter of fact a teacher does and very well actually. A teacher, except for Ancient Greek, History or Maths teaches children how to be considerate of each other and that they need each other to achieve their goals . They teach the value of cooperation and that we have the strength to succeed if we remain united and believe in ourselves, something that a computer cannot teach.

Taking everything into account , teachers are precious , their courtesy and their virtue stay etched on their student’s minds and students remember them with nostalgia not only because of the knowledge but also because of the social skills and critical thinking processes teachers helped the acquire.
