Στο πλαίσιο της εκπαιδευτικής δράσης με θέμα «Η Δημιουργική Γραφή στο σχολείο» οι μαθητές της ΣΤ τάξης, με αφόρμηση τον πίνακα του Peter Bruegel και το ποίημα του William Carlos Williams από το βιβλίο τους,
It was spring.A farmer was working in his field.
A shepherd was looking after his sheep.
A fisherman was catching fish
near the edge of the sea.
All were sweating in the sun
that melted the wings’ wax.
Off the coast there was a splash
quite unnoticed.
This was Icarus’ drowning.

The sky was getting dark
Αnd Daedalus soul hurt
He was watching his only son
Falling into the deep sea
Daedalus was hopeless
As there was nothing he could do
If Icarus had listened to his father’s advice
He would have been alive.

The story of Icarus (a different ending)
Dαedalus and Icarus lived in the prison of Minos, the king of Crete for many years. They wanted to escape, but they couldn’t manage to do that, because it was difficult.
One day, they found the ideal chance to escape from there. A key that was left behind from a guard, was on the floor. They quickly took it and opened the little window of the prison.While they were going away, two guards saw them. Dαedalus and Icarus were being hunted by the guards. As Dαedalus and Icarus were faster, they came into a room to make wings from wax and escape from the palace. They took off and went away.
They landed on an island with a lot of plants and trees. After about fifty years Dαedalus died. Icarus was so disappointed, that decided to fly and leave the island with his old wings. Because they were old, Icarus fell in the sea. After his fall this sea is called with his name.
3η ΟΜΑΔΑ
ΓΟΤΣΗ ΕΡΜΙΟΝΗ, ΠΑΠΑΔΟΠΟΥΛΟΥ ΜΑΓ, ΣΥΝΤΙΛΑ ΠΑΝΑΓΙΩΤΑ. ΤΣΙΕΠΑ ΑΦΡΟΔΙΤΗ, ΤΣΟΗ ΠΑΝΑΓΙΩΤΑ
The earthquake
It was winter. The weather was windy. Icarus and his father Daedalus were looking for the solution to their problem. They were imprisoned on the top of a tower.
Suddenly Daedalus said: “I have an idea. First we must irritate the Olympian Gods. Then they will make a big earthquake. The old tower will fall down and we will escape.”
They were thinking for hours to find something to irritate the Gods when Icarus saw some big holy animals and huge trees near the tower. His plan was to throw some rocks and kill the animals. But first they had to break the bars of the prison. His father agreed and after a while they succeeded .The Gods were extremely angry and they made one of the the biggest earthquakes in the world. The tower fell down quickly and easily. Icarus and Daedalus were almost free when they realized that they also had to fight with an ugly monster which was guarding them.
Fortunately, they found a sharp knife beside an enormous rock in the ruins. They were walking for lots of hours in the woods when they suddenly heard the monster again. Icarus hid up in a tree and Daedalus behind it. When the monster came near them, he killed it with the knife. When they were sure that the monster was dead, they ran out of the woods. At last, they were free!!!
4η ΟΜΑΔΑ
ΚΑΡΑΓΙΩΡΓΟΣ ΚΩΝ/ΝΟΣ, ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΟΥ ΠΑΡΗΣ. ΠΑΠΑΚΩΣΤΑΣ ΚΩΝ/ΝΟΣ, ΤΣΟΥΜΑΝΗΣ ΟΡΕΣΤΗΣ
Icarus’ revenge
It was summer. My friends and Iwere playing in the garden. Suddenly a huge thing that looked like an eagle appeared in the sky. As it was flying over us we understood that it was a human with wings. While he was trying to land he almost fell into the sea but fortunately, a mermaid with an amazing jump, managed to catch and throw him into our garden.
We ran towards him and asked what his name was and how he came. He answered that his name was Icarus and with his father Daedalus had escaped from the palace of Minos. He also explained that his father had built for Minos the best palace but then the king imprisoned them because he wanted no one else to have a better palace.
So Daedalus made the wings from the birds’ feathers which were falling through the window, connecting them with candle wax.
For revenge, we decided to make a better castle to make Minos get jealous.
Then king Minos killed himself, falling from this palace and the area took his name ,Minos area.
5η ΟΜΑΔΑ
ΝΤΕΤΣΙΚΑΣ ΛΕΩΝΙΔΑΣ. ΠΑΠΠΑΣ ΓΡΗΓΟΡΗΣ, ΣΚΑΡΑ ΝΙΚΟΛΕΤΤΑ, ΤΑΣΙΟΥΛΑΣ ΛΑΜΠΡΟΣ,
ΧΑΪΔΟΥ ΧΡΥΣΗΪΔΑ
Icarus’ adventures
Once upon a time, a sad but beautiful mermaid, Silia, was eating when she heard a loud splash. She was curious so she went where the noise was heard. A young , handsome man was trapped in Mr Archimidis’ nets. She asked the fisherman to free the young man and so he did.
Silia kissed the young man on the lips and he obtained the ability to breath under water. Shocked asked her to go for a walk. She accepted his proposal. The young man introduced himself. His name was Icarus. He said that he and his father, Daedalus, were imprisoned by king Minos. But his dad with his intelligence made two pairs of wings with wax and feathers to escape. He ignored his father’s advice and flew very close to the sun. The wax melted and he fell into the sea. Then he was trapped in the nets.
Silia found him very brave so she told her father to marry him. Silia’s father gave Icarus a horse, named Socratis, as a present.
Icarus was excited and was engaged to Silia. One hour later as they were walking she asked about children. Icarus got angry and left on his horse. It was so vicious that it started running without listening to his commands.
Suddenly they fell out of a canyon but they didn’t die, they magically got wings.
Then Icarus met a fairy, Kleanthena, and they soon fell in love. She invited him to her country, Bikini Bottom. When they arrived there, Icarus suddenly saw his father. He was very happy and quickly went to hug him. He noticed that Daedalus had got married with Pinelopi.
After that Sokratis, the horse, discovered his love, Afroxilanthy, a beautiful cow.
They all together had a happy life. Icarus and Kleanthena had four children. Daedalus and Pinelopi got one child and Sokratis and Afroxilanthy adopted a pig.
As we said before they lived a happy life in Bikini Bottom.
