We have been preparing quite early for the International Children’s Books Day, which is on April 2nd.
This year we will have a guest visitor, Mrs Anna Dendrinou, who is a children’s books author. We did a reading of her book ‘O Φίφης και ο Σήφης’ in English and then class A made bookmarks with the two mice looking at the moon and the ‘True friends always give a helping hand’. They made a bookmark as a gift for Mrs. Anna, too.
Class D prepared a wonderful wordsearch puzzle with flashcards for the other classes to do. Will they find the hidden words? The words they included were take from Mrs. Dendrinou’s book called ‘To φιλαράκι μου’ and the pupils used dictionaries to look up the unknown words.
Last, class E translated this year’s international poster in Englsih. They did excellent work using old pages, paper, markers and watercolors to make a collage.
Well done everyone! And remember this year’s quote ‘Stories are wings that help you fly everyday’.
Learning all about farm animals: sheep eat grass, pigs like mud, chickens live in a house and horses go neigh-neigh! There are also tractors on our farm!
Class A during the lock down listened to Nelly’s story and learned all about butterflies. Today at school they made a butterfly’s life cycle out of plasticine!
