Lots of love,
This is a nice game to practise Past Simple using a cootie catcher/ fortune teller .The kids practiced the verbs as well as the structure. They loved it!
And here is how you can make a cootie catcher yourself:
Today it’s World Environment Day, so class ST recycled old paper boxes and turned them into wonderful airplanes! The craft was integrated into unit 4 ‘The history of the airplane’.
Today it was the day to congratulate all the bookworms who ‘ate’ books throughout the school year, but mostly to thank the librarians who offered their time during our English library.
The lucky ones even won a small London book to always remember their participation as bookworms or as librarians!
See you all next year!
Some serious Big Mouth bookmarks, inspired from Cookie Land’s monster, are about to ‘eat’ story book pages instead of poor cookies…
So no one told you life was gonna be this way
Your job’s a joke, you’re broke, your friends don’t call for days
It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear
When it hasn’t been your day, your week,
your month, or even your year, but
I’ll be there for you…
when the rain starts to pour.
I’ll be there for you,
like I’ve been there before.
I’ll be there for you,
‘cause you’re there for me too
You’re still in bed at ten, the school began at eight.
You’ve burned your breakfast,
so far, things are going great.
Your mother warned you there’d be days like these,
But she didn’t tell you
when the world has brought you down to your knees.
That, I’ll be there for you….
Today we all had fun playing the two Cookie Land games (board game & memory game) in English!

The kids used English instructions throughout the board game such as:
‘It’s my/your turn’
‘Roll the dice’
‘Give me the dice’
‘Take a card’
‘Read the card’
Here’s how lovely they played:
And here are the instructions cards they made:
British people dance around the Maypole on May Day wereas in Greece people dance around ‘Gaitanaki’ during Carnival time.
After reading Cookie Land everyone developed a hunger for cookies! So, today we made some! They were delicious!
If you want to make them yourself, just watch class D’ giving instructions:
