Played a speaking game with their handmade cities and cards and had lots of fun today!
Class E worked very hard in the classroom and in the computer lab to prepare presentations of Edessa, a beautiful city in the north of Greece.
Class F proudly presented their art work to the whole school today. They drew their best friends with crayons and wrote a short description in English. All the younger classes were so impressed that they gathered around and talked about the portraits for quite some time! They said which were their favourite ones and made some wonderful comments! Many of them asked me to have Art classes with them, too!

Class C’s art is now exhibited in our school’s hall!
We talked about this special day at school today with the help of our special needs teachers Mrs Katerina and Mrs Martha. Duting the English lesson the pupils learned about the braille code. Τhen they decoded the words LOVE, CARE, SUPPORT, KINDNESS and wrote them using plasticine. Read here what the local press wrote about it.

Learning about the weather…
Learning words about the body parts through a song today with classes A and B!
This last unit has been about the weather and the seasons. So what a better way to finish it than painting the seasons inspired by Monet’s work. Class C worked in groups and made four beautiful paintings using pastels. Here is their work:
Class F has been doing some research on the Globe’s official website, they watched videos about it and they have designed a great brochure to advertise this historic theatre with the great exhibition and performances:
Class D has just finished their means of transport poster that they have benn making for the road safety project ‘Ρόδα είναι και γυρίζει’. Next Monday they are presenting their poster and the song ‘ The wheels on the bus’ to the school community, parents and guests.
Class F read Shakespeare’s biography, watched a video about his life and then they made this timeline. CLICK ON THE PHOTO to enjoy it.

Today class D met their Italian partners online on an eTwinning Live Event! Despite the unexpected technical problems Event was a success! The Greek and Italian pupils got to know each other and asked and answered questions about their school life. Apparently they have many things in common: they have the same age (9-10 years old) and they are in the same class (D). Both schools have football fields and big schoolyards and all of the classes don’t like homework! However, in Italy school starts at 8:30am and finishes at 16:00pm with 30′ minutes break wereas in Greece school starts at 8:15 and finishes at 13:15pm with 10-15′ minutes breaks. All in all it was a great meeting and both classes learned many things about each other.
When the online meeting was finished, class D, said that they loved it and they want to repeat it! Class D were great at introducing themselves and each one shared very interesting information: P. said that his favourite car is Lamborghini, A. said that she likes classical music, C. that he likes running, S. that he is ten years old, N. and M. that their favourite sport is football, V. that she likes many sports and Italy and K. that she lives in Akrata.
It was a great experience!
Class F’ has worked very hard and turned the myth of Daedalus and Icarus into F A N T A S T I C comics!!! In particular, a group made their own version of the myth.
