Today we finally recieved the cards from Poland! They were a bit late because the post offices were really busy during Christmas time. It was such a nice surprise to see a big envelope and a large parcel right when we got back to school from the Christmas holidays!
Mrs Monica’s class sent us some wonderful handmade cards that made class D2 really happy! Mrs Edyta’s class sent class D1 beautifully made cards and a present for every pupil (a Christmas bracelet) in a box that the pupils themselved had decorated.
The Greek pupils read the cards and thanked their friends on videos . After that, they visited the ‘wall’ to read what their Polish friends had written for them and took a survey about what they liked most about the project.
They told me that today was their best English lesson ever!I’m so happy, too!
Thank you, friends, for the wonderful cards! We all wish you the best to you and your families for the new year!
Today we received not one, not two, but three (!) videos from Mrs Edyta’s class! We were thrilled! The pupils sang two kinds of carols beautifully especially for us. But to our surprise the third video was not about carols! Instead, we saw our Polish friends opening the cards we sent them! It was so exciting to see the process live! It was as if we were there with them! Thank you so much for this wonderful surprise! We felt so much closer to you!
We’re really looking forward to receiving your cards, too!
Today the Greek pupils enjoyed listening to the Polish Christmas carols Mrs Monica uploaded. They were very curious about them and listened to them really carefully. What a difficult language to pronounce!
The lyrics of the Christmas carols shared during our eTwinning projects were gathered in two songbooks for the pupils to sing along. Here they are:

Here’s what the Greek pupils thought of the Skype Session with the two Polish classes:
Today Greek class D2 finally met Mrs Monica’s class from Poland. We were sooo happy! Thankfully the connection was good and the pupils had the chance to get to know each other and talked for a while. Then the Greek pupils took their triangle and sang the Greek New Year’s Eve carols to their Polish friends who listened in awe! In return they sang to us the most beautiful carols in Polish. Those moments were really touching.
Although it was everyone’s first time, it was an amazing experience! The Greek pupils asked to repeat it the moment it was over! Now, they’re going to write about this experience on the wall created especially for the occassion!
Thank you, friends, for a wonderful experience!
Class D1 has just finished the cards for their Polish friends! They’re all ready for the post office tomorrow!Yeahhh!
Classes D1 & D2 have been really creative these past few days. They have been making and writing pop-up cards for their Polish friends. It’s hard to decide which card stands out, as they’re all wonderful! We hope that our friends will like them when we post them next week…
Our first online meeting with Mrs Edyta’s class was no enjoyable that the pupils asked for more! So, half an hour ago we had the most amazing video conference with our Polish friends! The connection was better this time and we had plenty of time to get to know each other better!
Each kid talked with the kid they’re going to exchange cards with and talked about their hobbies, likes and dislikes.Even though it was the first time for the Polish class they did amazingly well! We’re so excited we have met them!
Next week we’re going to prepare the cards.
We can’t wait!!!!!!
Class D1 expressed their thoughts on the skype session, first on paper and then on this wall. Apparently, they all enjoyed it to the full!
Yesterday class D1 gathered in the school library to meet their Polish friends and their teacher Mrs Edyta online for the first time. They exchanged information such as name, age, hobbies, favourite food/colour/sport. Although some were nervous at first, they liked it so much that they’re going to have one again next Thursday!
On this wall the pupils express their feelings about this conference!
Tomorrow class D1 is meeting their eTwinning partners from Poland and their teacher Mrs Edyta online. They’re really excited! To be prepared they practiced a bit using the wonderful finger puppets they made themselves. They’re so looking forward to the video conference! I’m sure they’ll do great and I hope they enjoy it!
