Hello and thank you for visiting my special place, ‘The Teacher’s nest’.
I’m Eleni Kontolati and I’m an English teacher. I’ve been teaching in Greek public Primary Schools for 23 years. Most of them in the 1st and the 2nd Primary School of Akrata.
This weblog was created in 2011 and it serves as:
- a diary of everything we do in class
- a place to upload and share useful material with my pupils
- a place to share useful links and instructions for my pupils’ homework
- a place to publish and disseminate our special projects (eTwinning, cultural, health etc)
- a meeting point for my pupils and me through the comments section
- a place for online activities for classroom use or self-study (most of them my own creation)

In November 2021, Florence, Italy I presented my paper ‘An Electronic School Magazine: Exploring the Use of Blogs inTeaching Writing in a Young Learners’ Context’, at the international conference “ICT for Language Learning, 5th edition”. The paper was a research based on our school emagazine called eWriters.

I listened to Monica the other day.I didn’t know her, it’s nice but a bit melancholic. But I love ‘Serenade’!
