Hello, dear students!

As we embark on this exciting journey into a new school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to each one of you. Whether you’re returning after a summer of relaxation and fun, or you’re new to our school, I’m thrilled to have you in my English class.

A new school year is like the start of a new book, with blank pages waiting to be filled with our stories, ideas, and learning experiences. Together, we will explore the richness of the English language, uncovering the beauty of words, the power of expression, and the joy of storytelling. This year promises to be full of discoveries, challenges, and growth.

For those of you who might feel a bit anxious about what lies ahead, remember that every great journey begins with a single step. Learning a language is not just about memorizing grammar rules or expanding your vocabulary; it’s about opening up new ways to communicate, think, and understand the world around you. So, don’t be afraid to make mistakes—each one is an opportunity to learn and improve.

We’ll be diving into captivating stories, engaging in thought-provoking discussions, and sharpening our writing skills. I encourage you to bring your creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm to every class. Your ideas matter, and I can’t wait to hear your unique perspectives on the topics we’ll explore.

“Blue Monday” typically refers to the third Monday in January, considered by some to be the most depressing day of the year. The concept was first introduced in 2005 by a British psychologist named Cliff Arnall. Arnall claimed to have devised a formula that took into account factors such as weather, debt, time since Christmas, and motivation levels.

It’s important to note that the scientific validity of Blue Monday has been widely criticized, and many experts argue that the formula and the concept lack empirical support. The idea of a specific day being the most depressing is seen by many as a marketing gimmick rather than a genuine psychological phenomenon.

In reality, mental health is a complex and individual experience that cannot be accurately predicted or generalized to a specific day for everyone.
