If I wrote a fairytale,
It would be a wondrous tale,
Full of magic and wonder,
Where anything could prevail.
It would start with “once upon a time”,
In a land of myth and rhyme,
Where fairies danced in the moonlight,
And dragons roamed in their prime.
There would be a brave young hero,
Who was pure of heart and soul,
And a wicked villain with a plan,
To take over the kingdom whole.
But our hero would be aided,
By a loyal band of friends,
And they would face the villain,
In a battle that never ends.
There would be spells and enchantments,
And curses to be broken, And in the end,
our hero would triumph,
And the kingdom would be awoken.
And when the story was over,
And the book was closed for the night,
The reader would be left with a feeling,
Of hope and joy and light.
For that is the power of a fairytale,
To transport us to a land of dreams,
Where anything is possible,
And nothing is as it seems…
