The eTwinning project „Our Folklore, Your Stories” is an educational initiative designed to bridge cultural gaps and foster a deeper understanding of diverse European heritages among young learners aged 7 to 11. This project intricately weaves the threads of Language and Literature, Art, and the History of Culture into a vibrant tapestry of learning experiences. By engaging students in the digital presentation and exchange of their nations’ cherished folk tales, it not only celebrates the rich storytelling traditions unique to each country, but also enhances key competences in cultural awareness and expression. The project employs digital tools to facilitate creative storytelling, collaborative learning, and cross-cultural interaction, promoting not only personal and social development, but also digital literacy skills. Through this cross-national educational venture, „Our Folklore, Your Stories” aims to cultivate a shared sense of European identity and heritage among the younger generation, while simultaneously developing their ability to communicate, collaborate, and learn in a rapidly changing world.
