Celebrating together the eTwinning birthday:
The 4 classes thought some special words connected to eTwinning, then they wrote them into a Google document (created by Adamantia: P.S. of Kifissia). The final step was to create a word cloud, just to share the feelings of the all students thinking about eTwinning. It was used the app “Word Art”.
April
With great imagination and love for the environment, the young students of the Primary School of Kifissia created the page for the month of April for our collaborative calendar, sending a powerful message: “Love the Earth, it’s our only home!”
Through their colorful creations, they remind us how important it is to take care of our planet every single day — not only on Earth Day (April 22), but always!
Earth Day
To celebrate Earth Day, our partner school, IC1 Modena, proposed two collaborative storytelling activities for all four partner schools based on the following stories:
- The Hummingbird That Saved the Amazon Rainforest
- Bea and the Whale
You can find the instructions for these collaborative activities in the PDF below.

The final ebook is Here
In this pdf Stories to print (1), you can find the drawings created by the students of IC1 Modena for their paper storybook. Partner schools may print the pages and write a sentence from the story under each picture in their own language, if they wish.

Common Poster to celebrate the Earth Day
We decided to celebrate the Earth Day coloring a common poster. Each school had to color a part of it …
And, at the end, this is the final poster we had.
March
March – World Water Day (March 22)
The March page of our collaborative calendar is dedicated to one of the most valuable resources of life: WATER. This page was created by the students of IC1 Modena (Italy). Their beautiful artwork highlights the importance of protecting and ensuring equal access to clean water for all. The symbolic image of hands holding a drop of water reminds us that the future of our planet is in our hands.
World Water Day
This month, we celebrated World Water Day. Together with our partner schools, we created a digital book featuring Nerina the Water Drop.

In March, we also exchanged Easter cards and small gifts by post with our partner schools, making our collaboration even more meaningful and enjoyable for the children.
February
On the occasion of Safer Internet Day the 1st Primary School of Kifisia proposed the “Digital Kindness” activity. The aim was to show that the internet should not only be safe but also a place where kindness, empathy, respect, and responsibility are encouraged. The four partner schools collaborated to create a digital story using the relay writing method. One school started the story, the next school continued it, followed by the third and fourth schools, and the process was repeated until the story was completed. Afterwards, the story was illustrated and transformed into a collaborative digital flipbook, promoting creativity, teamwork, and responsible digital citizenship.

Our partners from I.C. Vado Ligure introduced the story Abbracciami (Hug me)as a collaborative activity. Before creating the collaborative storybook, each partner school chose the part of the story it would illustrate. The students’ drawings from all participating schools were then combined to create a beautiful shared storybook, highlighting creativity, cooperation, and teamwork.
Take a look at the document below to see which part of the story each partner school chose to illustrate.

Planning our collaborative eBook
Before creating our collaborative eBook, all partner schools agreed on a common plan. Each school was assigned specific parts of The Giving Tree to illustrate and bring to life through students’ drawings. This planning document helped us organize our collaborative work and create a shared final product.

International Day of Children’s Rights
Our partners from Don Milani – I.C. Vado Ligure (Italy) created an inspiring video based on Flon-Flon et Musette. Their work beautifully conveys the values of peace, friendship, solidarity, and respect for children’s rights.

Our partners from the 6th Primary School of Rethymno (Greece) prepared a beautiful song promoting peace, friendship, solidarity, and respect for children’s rights.
Another collaborative Christmas task was the “Help the Grinch!” activity. The partner teacher responsible for this month’s task prepared a comprehensive educational resource, including the Grinch story, worksheets, reading comprehension activities, and tasks focusing on Children’s Rights, kindness, and the true meaning of Christmas. This material was used by all partner schools to implement the collaborative activity.

Photos from our activities
October
At the beginning of the project, each school prepared its mascot and a welcome package to send to a partner school. The package included a presentation letter from the mascot, an empty notebook for documenting students’ activities throughout the project, handmade postcards and drawings created by the children, and a small gift, such as seeds for planting. This first exchange marked the beginning of our collaboration, helping students get to know one another and strengthening the bond between the partner schools.
Animals Day
To celebrate World Animal Day, our students watched an educational video about animal welfare and discussed the needs of animals. They then collaborated to create a digital book illustrating what animals need to live healthy and happy lives, promoting empathy, responsibility, and respect for all living creatures.

Old People Day
On the occasion of Grandparents’ Day, our students created handmade cards and thoughtful gifts for their grandparents and elderly people in nursing homes. This activity encouraged children to express appreciation, care, and respect for older generations while promoting empathy and active citizenship.
Getting Started with Internet Safety
At the beginning of our project, students explored the basic principles of online safety. They learned that Internet safety depends on collaboration between students, teachers and families, staying informed about online risks, and respecting digital rules, rights and responsibilities.
They also watched an educational video about Internet safety and discussed how to become responsible, respectful and safe digital citizens.
