On Friday our 5th graders of E1 carried out January’s challenge for our eTwinning project ” Our STEAMulating Adeventures”. The students created a model volcano using a plastic bottle for the volcano’s vent, aluminum foil for the crater, brown paper to create the slopes and decorations including paper houses, trees and rocks. They filled the vent with baking soda (three spoonfulls) and half a cup of vinegar coloured with blue food colour and WHAM! created a spectacular explosion…
