Project Activity Overview
As part of the initial phase of the Erasmus+ project Balanced Communication and Empathetic Approaches in the Digital Society – DigiBalance, students of the General Lyceum of Palamas undertook the creation of video presentations. These presentations aimed to introduce our own town, as well as each partner school from Romania, Portugal, and Turkey. The videos were intended for presentation during the first mobility in Lisbon, Portugal (Alges).
Student Involvement
A group of four first-year students (two girls and two boys) volunteered and were selected to represent our school. Their motivation and commitment enabled them to secure participation in the first mobility in Portugal.
The students collaborated in multiple formats:
- As a team: brainstorming ideas, planning scripts, and sharing feedback
- In pairs: dividing filming and editing responsibilities
- Individually: working on research, voice-overs, and final adjustments
- at school
and - at home
This flexible and cooperative approach helped them balance the workload and showcase different creative skills.
Timeline
Start of activity: 1 March 2025
Work period: March–April 2025 (intensive preparation under the supervision of their English teacher)
Pause: May–June 2025 (exam period and end of the school year)
Completion: September 2025, after the reopening of schools
Despite the interruption caused by exams and the summer break, the group successfully completed the videos by mid-September.
Educational Impact
The project proved to be a valuable learning process for the students, as they:
Gained digital skills in video editing and presentation design
Improved their English communication through script writing and narration
Practiced teamwork, time management, and responsibility
Enhanced their knowledge of their own town’s cultural identity as well as the partner countries’ schools
Conclusion
The successful completion of the video presentations by the General Lyceum of Palamas demonstrates the active engagement of students in the Erasmus+ project and their willingness to dedicate time and effort beyond the regular curriculum. Their contributions not only fulfilled the requirements of the first mobility but also strengthened their intercultural awareness and digital competencies, in line with the project’s objectives.

Day 1 of the Mobility – Palamas, Greece
The first day of the Erasmus+ mobility in Palamas, Greece focused on getting to know each other and exploring the impact of technology on everyday life. The activities began with an interactive ice-breaker entitled “Cyber Quiz Challenge”, through which teams from Romania, Turkey, Portugal and Greece collaborated, became better acquainted and identified challenges related to technology use and the digital world.
Next, the participating teams presented video materials created in PowerPoint or Canva on the topic “Digital Life in My Country”. The presentations highlighted young people’s digital habits, common online risks and possible solutions, as well as cultural perspectives on the use of technology in each partner country.
The host country then introduced a reflection activity by presenting the “Digital Detox Challenge” guide, aimed at encouraging a reduction in screen time. Students were invited to set individual goals to limit their digital exposure and to keep a journal throughout the mobility, reflecting on their digital detox experience.
The activities carried out on this first day emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the effects of excessive technology use, device addiction, as well as the role of collaboration, balanced communication and critical thinking in building a healthy digital society.
Day 2 of the Mobility – Palamas, Greece
The activities of the second day of the Erasmus+ mobility in Palamas, Greece, began with an interactive quiz conducted via the Mentimeter platform, focusing on online safety. This was followed by a workshop dedicated to international comparisons and best practices related to the challenges of online security.
Students worked in teams and explored key contemporary topics, including:
- digital addiction
- personal data protection
- cyberbullying
- threats posed by artificial intelligence
During comparative discussions, participants shared their experiences regarding online safety in their home countries, identifying both similarities and cultural differences related to cybersecurity, cyberbullying, AI-related risks, and personal data theft.
The day’s activities contributed significantly to the development of students’ digital and intercultural competences, as well as to strengthening their problem-solving and decision-making skills. Teamwork and collaboration once again proved essential in identifying effective solutions to the issues addressed.
The day concluded with a cultural visit to the Municipal Museum of Karditsa, where project participants had the opportunity to learn about the history and archaeological heritage of the Karditsa region.
Day 3 of the Mobility – Palamas, Greece
The third day of the Erasmus+ mobility in Palamas, Greece, began with an exchange of students’ experiences from the previous days, followed by an international workshop on digital content creation.
Working in mixed international teams, students from the participating countries created informative materials focused on key issues of today’s digital society:
- posters addressing the threats generated by artificial intelligence;
- infographics on digital addiction;
- digital posters on personal data protection;
- videos addressing cyberbullying;
- blog posts on protecting one’s digital footprint.
All materials were presented by each team to the other participants and uploaded to the project platform. Upon returning to their home countries, students will disseminate the knowledge and skills acquired during the mobility to their peers and continue applying what they have learned.
In the context of digital detoxification, students from the participating countries enjoyed a volleyball match held in the sports hall of the school in Palamas. At the same time, teachers from the host school presented to the teachers from Romania, Portugal and Turkey the Greek national educational blended learning platform, followed by a valuable exchange of professional experiences.
The day concluded with a cultural visit to Meteora.
The activities carried out throughout the day contributed to the development of students’ digital and linguistic skills and strengthened meaningful friendships and international cooperation.
The final day of our Erasmus+ mobility at Palamas General Lyceum, Greece, was dedicated to reflection, evaluation, and looking toward the future.
The morning sessions focused on presenting the results of the Digital Detox Challenge and drawing conclusions from the intense international collaboration developed over the four days. Students worked in teams at presentation stations, explaining the actions they had taken and the lessons learned throughout the project activities.
This was followed by an open discussion and joint review, where participants reflected on what they had learned during the mobility, proposed policy ideas for improving digital safety in schools, and outlined concrete actions each school plans to implement after returning home. Special emphasis was placed on future cooperation and maintaining the international Digital Ambassadors team created during the project.
The day continued with the certificate award ceremony and farewell, celebrating participation, teamwork, and newly formed friendships.
The day ended with a tour of Lake Plastira, providing a perfect setting to reflect on shared experiences and lasting connections.
A meaningful closing to an inspiring mobility that combined education, collaboration, culture, and personal growth.
2η Δράση Κινητικότητας στην Ελλάδα
1η Ημέρα της Δράσης Κινητικότητας
Η πρώτη ημέρα της δράσης κινητικότητας Erasmus+ στον Παλάμα της Ελλάδας επικεντρώθηκε στη γνωριμία μεταξύ των συμμετεχόντων και στη διερεύνηση του αντίκτυπου της τεχνολογίας στην καθημερινή ζωή. Οι δραστηριότητες ξεκίνησαν με ένα διαδραστικό παιχνίδι για το σπάσιμο του πάγου με τίτλο «Cyber Quiz Challenge», μέσω του οποίου ομάδες από τη Ρουμανία, την Τουρκία, την Πορτογαλία και την Ελλάδα συνεργάστηκαν, γνωρίστηκαν καλύτερα και εντόπισαν προκλήσεις που σχετίζονται με τη χρήση της τεχνολογίας και τον ψηφιακό κόσμο.
Στη συνέχεια, οι συμμετέχουσες ομάδες παρουσίασαν οπτικό υλικό που δημιούργησαν στο PowerPoint ή στο Canva με θέμα «Η ψηφιακή ζωή στη χώρα μου». Οι παρουσιάσεις ανέδειξαν τις ψηφιακές συνήθειες των νέων, τους συνήθεις κινδύνους στο διαδίκτυο και τις πιθανές λύσεις, καθώς και τις πολιτισμικές προοπτικές σχετικά με τη χρήση της τεχνολογίας σε κάθε χώρα-εταίρο.
Στη συνέχεια, η χώρα υποδοχής εισήγαγε μια δραστηριότητα αναστοχασμού παρουσιάζοντας τον οδηγό «Digital Detox Challenge», με στόχο την ενθάρρυνση της μείωσης του χρόνου που περνούν μπροστά στην οθόνη. Οι μαθητές κλήθηκαν να θέσουν ατομικούς στόχους για τον περιορισμό της ψηφιακής τους έκθεσης και να τηρούν ημερολόγιο καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της κινητικότητας, αναστοχάζοντας την εμπειρία τους από την ψηφιακή αποτοξίνωση.
Οι δραστηριότητες που πραγματοποιήθηκαν κατά την πρώτη αυτή ημέρα τόνισαν τη σημασία της ευαισθητοποίησης σχετικά με τις επιπτώσεις της υπερβολικής χρήσης της τεχνολογίας, του εθισμού στις συσκευές, καθώς και του ρόλου της συνεργασίας, της ισορροπημένης επικοινωνίας και της κριτικής σκέψης στην οικοδόμηση μιας υγιούς ψηφιακής κοινωνίας.
2η ημέρα του προγράμματος κινητικότητας
Η δεύτερη μέρα της κινητικότητας Erasmus+ στο Παλαμά ήταν γεμάτη αλληλεπίδραση, συνεργασία και σημαντικές μαθησιακές εμπειρίες. Η μέρα ξεκίνησε με ένα διαδραστικό κουίζ για την ασφάλεια στο διαδίκτυο χρησιμοποιώντας την πλατφόρμα Mentimeter, στο οποίο συμμετείχαν ενεργά οι μαθητές και έθεσε τον τόνο για τις συζητήσεις που ακολούθησαν. Στη συνέχεια, οι συμμετέχοντες έλαβαν μέρος σε εργαστήρια που επικεντρώθηκαν σε διεθνείς συγκρίσεις και βέλτιστες πρακτικές σχετικά με την ασφάλεια στο διαδίκτυο. Δουλεύοντας σε μικτές διεθνείς ομάδες, οι μαθητές εξερεύνησαν σημαντικά σύγχρονα ζητήματα, όπως η ψηφιακή εξάρτηση, η προστασία των προσωπικών δεδομένων, ο εκφοβισμός στο διαδίκτυο και οι απειλές που σχετίζονται με την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη.
Μέσα από συγκριτικές συζητήσεις, οι μαθητές μοιράστηκαν τις εμπειρίες και τις απόψεις τους από τις χώρες καταγωγής τους, εντοπίζοντας τόσο κοινές προκλήσεις όσο και πολιτισμικές διαφορές στον τρόπο με τον οποίο αντιμετωπίζονται τα ζητήματα ασφάλειας στο διαδίκτυο. Αυτές οι ανταλλαγές εμπλούτισαν τον διάλογο και υπογράμμισαν τη σημασία της συνεργασίας και της ευαισθητοποίησης στον σημερινό ψηφιακό κόσμο.
Η μέρα ολοκληρώθηκε με μια πολιτιστική επίσκεψη στο Δημοτικό Μουσείο της Καρδίτσας, όπου οι συμμετέχοντες στο πρόγραμμα είχαν την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουν την ιστορία και την αρχαιολογική κληρονομιά της περιοχής της Καρδίτσας.
3η ημέρα του προγράμματος κινητικότητας
Η τρίτη ημέρα του προγράμματος κινητικότητας Erasmus+ στον Παλάμα της Ελλάδας ξεκίνησε με την ανταλλαγή εμπειριών των μαθητών από τις προηγούμενες ημέρες, ενώ στη συνέχεια πραγματοποιήθηκε ένα διεθνές εργαστήριο για τη δημιουργία ψηφιακού περιεχομένου.
Δουλεύοντας σε μικτές διεθνείς ομάδες, οι μαθητές από τις συμμετέχουσες χώρες δημιούργησαν ενημερωτικό υλικό επικεντρωμένο σε βασικά ζητήματα της σημερινής ψηφιακής κοινωνίας:
- αφίσες που αναφέρονται στις απειλές που δημιουργεί η τεχνητή νοημοσύνη,
- γραφικά με πληροφορίες για τον ψηφιακό εθισμό,
- ψηφιακές αφίσες για την προστασία των προσωπικών δεδομένων,
- βίντεο που αναφέρονται στον εκφοβισμό στο διαδίκτυο,
- αναρτήσεις σε ιστολόγια σχετικά με την προστασία του ψηφιακού αποτυπώματος του καθενός.
Όλο το υλικό παρουσιάστηκε από κάθε ομάδα στους υπόλοιπους συμμετέχοντες και αναρτήθηκε στην πλατφόρμα του προγράμματος. Με την επιστροφή τους στις χώρες καταγωγής τους, οι μαθητές θα μεταδώσουν τις γνώσεις και τις δεξιότητες που απέκτησαν κατά τη διάρκεια της κινητικότητας στους συμμαθητές τους και θα συνεχίσουν να εφαρμόζουν όσα έμαθαν. Στο πλαίσιο της ψηφιακής αποτοξίνωσης, οι μαθητές από τις συμμετέχουσες χώρες απόλαυσαν έναν αγώνα βόλεϊ που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο γυμναστήριο του σχολείου στον Παλάμα. Παράλληλα, εκπαιδευτικοί από το σχολείο υποδοχής παρουσίασαν στους εκπαιδευτικούς από τη Ρουμανία, την Πορτογαλία και την Τουρκία την εθνική ελληνική εκπαιδευτική πλατφόρμα blended learning, ακολουθούμενη από μια πολύτιμη ανταλλαγή επαγγελματικών εμπειριών. Η ημέρα ολοκληρώθηκε με μια πολιτιστική επίσκεψη στα Μετέωρα.
Οι δραστηριότητες που πραγματοποιήθηκαν κατά τη διάρκεια της ημέρας συνέβαλαν στην ανάπτυξη των ψηφιακών και γλωσσικών δεξιοτήτων των μαθητών και ενίσχυσαν τις ουσιαστικές φιλίες και τη διεθνή συνεργασία.
3η ημέρα του προγράμματος κινητικότητας
Η τελευταία ημέρα της κινητικότητας Erasmus+ στο Γενικό Λύκειο Παλαμά, στην Ελλάδα, ήταν αφιερωμένη στον αναστοχασμό, την αξιολόγηση και το βλέμμα προς το μέλλον.
Οι πρωινές συνεδρίες επικεντρώθηκαν στην παρουσίαση των αποτελεσμάτων της πρόκλησης «Digital Detox» και στην εξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων από την εντατική διεθνή συνεργασία που αναπτύχθηκε κατά τη διάρκεια των τεσσάρων ημερών. Οι μαθητές εργάστηκαν σε ομάδες σε σταθμούς παρουσίασης, εξηγώντας τις δράσεις που είχαν αναλάβει και τα διδάγματα που αποκόμισαν κατά τη διάρκεια των δραστηριοτήτων του προγράμματος.
Ακολούθησε μια ανοιχτή συζήτηση και κοινή ανασκόπηση, όπου οι συμμετέχοντες αναστοχάστηκαν σχετικά με όσα είχαν μάθει κατά τη διάρκεια της κινητικότητας, πρότειναν ιδέες πολιτικής για τη βελτίωση της ψηφιακής ασφάλειας στα σχολεία και περιέγραψαν συγκεκριμένες δράσεις που κάθε σχολείο σχεδιάζει να υλοποιήσει μετά την επιστροφή του. Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δόθηκε στη μελλοντική συνεργασία και στη διατήρηση της διεθνούς ομάδας Ψηφιακών Πρεσβευτών που δημιουργήθηκε κατά τη διάρκεια του προγράμματος.
Η ημέρα συνεχίστηκε με την τελετή απονομής πιστοποιητικών και τον αποχαιρετισμό, γιορτάζοντας τη συμμετοχή, την ομαδική εργασία και τις νέες φιλίες που δημιουργήθηκαν.
Η ημέρα ολοκληρώθηκε με μια περιήγηση στη λίμνη Πλαστειρά, προσφέροντας το ιδανικό σκηνικό για να αναστοχαστούμε τις κοινές εμπειρίες και τις διαρκείς σχέσεις.
Ένα ουσιαστικό κλείσιμο για μια εμπνευσμένη κινητικότητα που συνδύασε την εκπαίδευση, τη συνεργασία, τον πολιτισμό και την προσωπική ανάπτυξη.
