Η ψηφιακή αφήγηση ακολούθησε τις τεχνικές χρήσης video για τη διδασκαλία της ξένης γλώσσας του Barry Tomalin (1986) και τα 7 βασικά στοιχεία μιας ψηφιακής αφήγησης των εμπνευστών της προσέγγισης Joe Lambert, Nina Mullen & Dana Atchley (1993). Οι ερωτήσεις για τους μαθητές ακολούθησαν το Μοντέλο των 4 πόρων των Luke & Freebody (1997, 1999). H αφήγηση μπορεί να ενταχθεί σαν επέκταση 4ης ώρας στο διδακτικό μου σενάριο για την Αγγλική Γλώσσα (με διαθεματική προσέγγιση μέσω του μαθήματος των Η/Υ, των Γαλλικών, της Θεατρικής Αγωγής, των Εικαστικών, της Μουσικής και της Ιστορίας των Τεχνών, Μοντέλο ασύγχρονης εκπαίδευσης): “Artistic legends whose memory lingers on” που απευθύνεται σε μαθητές επιπέδου γλωσσομάθειας Β1-Β2, με βάση την εξάβαθμη κλίμακα του ΚΕΠΑ. Αποφασίσαμε με τους μαθητές της Ε’ Δημοτικού να βιώσουμε τη σημασία της συντροφιάς του βιβλίου, ούτως ώστε να έχουν μια επιπλέον εναλλακτική πρόταση για το διάλειμμα και για να έρθουν σε επαφή με την Αγγλική γλώσσα, τη λογοτεχνία και την ποίηση πέρα από τα καθιερωμένα πλαίσια. Φτιάξαμε λοιπόν την “bookworm corner“ μέσα στην τάξη μας, στην οποία πέρα από βιβλία προστέθηκαν επιτραπέζια παιχνίδια, magnetic poetry board, κουκλοθέατρο και μαξιλαράκια, για να αποκτήσει η διαδικασία φιλαναγνωσίας ακόμη πιο ευχάριστο και παιχνιδιάρικο τόνο.
Στα πλαίσια του προγράμματος φιλαναγνωσίας με τίτλο: “Our Class Library”, ευχαριστούμε θερμά την εξαίρετη συγγραφέα και αγαπημένη μου παλιά καθηγήτρια Θάλεια Αντωνιάδουγια την τιμή που μας έκανε, να παραβρεθεί στο Δημοτικό Σχολείο Ανυφιού και να μας μαγέψει με τα Ταξίδια του Δρομέα, τις περιπέτειες της Ξινολεμονής και άλλους συναρπαστικούς ήρωες των παραμυθιών της. Τα βιβλία της είναι διαθέσιμα στο βιβλιοπωλείο Πολιτεία & στο Amazon.
Mε αφορμή ένα project του βιβλίου μας με θέμα την πτώση του Ίκαρου από τον γνωστό μύθο του Δαίδαλου και του Ίκαρου (Unit 4, Lesson 3, pg. 46, Τhe Fall of Icarus), oι μαθητές της ΣΤ ήρθαν σε επαφή με τον πίνακα του ζωγράφου Pieter Bruegel και το ποίημα του William Carlos William που ακολουθούν, εστίασαν στα συναισθήματα που απορρέουν από τα δύο έργα τέχνης, βρήκαν πληροφορίες για τη ζωή των καλλιτεχνών και έψαξαν νέα ποιήματα και πίνακες ζωγραφικής πάνω στο ίδιο θέμα, τα οποία και παρουσίασαν στην μικρή μας exhibition στην τάξη.
Using Poetry in class:Any authentic material exposes students to some ‘real English’ and can be very motivating for our students. Another advantage about poems is for students to have the opportunity to see the language work creatively and freely. It is also worth mentioning that, apart from acquiring new linguistic elements, igniting curiosity and inspiring writing, one of poetry’s transcendent powers is its ability to refocus, if not totally transform, our point of view. It’s far too simple for both students and teachers to lose themselves in their egocentric viewpoints, and fail to consider issues from another perspective. Poetry is bound to boost our open-mindedness.
