Project work in English – School Year 2011-2012

Μάι 201116

C΄ Class students were asked to conduct a survey by asking a simple question:

Which electrical appliances are used the most in your house after 5 p.m.?

Each class was divided into groups of two to five students and had to interview twenty people of different ages and status so that their research could have variation. Then they transferred their findings to a bar chart.

The aim of the project was to make students work together ( they had previously done a project solo ), share responsibilities and thus bond with each other but also to make them acquainted with the notion of “statistics” since it is a word they hear quite often in everyday life. Although there was a thought in grouping the findings of each class together and so getting an outcome of 100%, we finally decided to leave the charts as they were.

This is the outcome of their project work.
