During the school year 2024-2025, Grade 3 students from our school had the exciting opportunity to work on a project called ‘Plans for my Summer’. They worked together with students of their age from St Paul’s Missionary School in Malta.
They presented colourful drawings and short texts, they recorded journal entries, which they uploaded to Padlet for their classmates to listen to, and, later, shared their experiences with each other.
During the final virtual meeting, the students eagerly shared their summer memories, sang traditional songs in their native languages, and expressed their wish to collaborate again on future projects. This meeting marked the conclusion of the summer program, which offered a wonderful blend of learning, cultural exchange, and creative collaboration.
Not only did the students improve their English, but they also gained a deeper understanding of each other’s cultures, forged new friendships, and proved that learning can be fun—even during the summer!
