OCTOBER- Nature Stories
Stories about the environment and nature are read, then the children draw their own nature heroes. They say the names of these heroes in the online meeting. Each country draws a “hero-sheet” and brings it to life. The videos are uploaded to a common Padlet and each student leaves an audio comment on another country’s work.

NOVEMBER – Let’s Get to Know the Creatures in Nature
Do we know about living things in nature? We’re researching organisms that benefit the soil. We’ll be going on an environmental research trip. Each country will choose one organism and create a model of it (using recycled materials). International “micro-experts”: Form small teams of two countries. Each team will research a common beneficial organism and create a shared Canva slide (each country adds one image and one sentence in their own language). We’ll present these organisms in an online meeting.

* We choose a tree we like. With the participation of our families, we design our own tree. Each country will choose a tree. We can use any material we want.
International “forest”: We will prepare a shared Canva poster where each country will add their own tree. After each country adds their trees, we will create a shared “forest.” We will share the Canva template link with you.
* Children will design their words related to nature and trees as leaves in the WordArt program. Each country will select 3 words and create a WordArt design. They will “paste” these designs into the template shared on Canva.
* Each country will write song lyrics about “Nature” and compose songs using artificial intelligence. (Suno AI, ChatGPT) Our students will present their nature songs in their own languages during an online meeting.

Final Study
In the final project activity, Classes A and B of the 4th Kindergarten presented the project’s journey and activities to the parents. The children themselves briefly shared what they had learned and experienced throughout the project. We also highlighted our school’s continuous involvement in eTwinning projects and proudly presented the eTwinning School flag awarded to our school in recognition of its high-quality work. The event concluded with the planting of seasonal flowers in the school garden together with the parents, leaving a beautiful and lasting mark of our shared effort.

To disseminate the project results, I created a video presenting our journey from beginning to end, showcasing the activities and my students’ creations. The video was presented to parents, shared on the school blog, promoted within my local educational community, and published on social media. During the final project presentation, parents and children planted seasonal flowers together in our school garden, bringing our journey in nature to a meaningful and joyful close.

The country of my Heart
Το δεύτερο eTwinning έργο μας.
Το έργο The country of my heart υλοποιήθηκε κατά τη σχολική χρονιά 2023-2024 από το Β τμήμα του 4ου Νηπιαγωγείου Κιλκίς με 18 μαθητές ηλικίας 4-6 ετών.

GREEN KIDS IN GREEN SCHOOLS

Towards Inclusive Environmental Sustainability
