“Ithaca”
Crosscurricular lesson based on Cavafy’s “Ithaca”.
On Marth 27th our class participated in a lesson which involved the subject of Modern Greek Literature and English Language.
We read, analyzed, and explored the deeper meaning of Cavafy’s “Ithaca” in both Greek and English. Furthermore, we listened to the marvelous recitation of the poem by Sean Connery.
It was such a unique, exciting and at the same time educative experience for the whole class. It made us think out-of-the-box and see everything from a different perspective, as we combined the beauty of Greek Literature with the use of the English Language.
