My reckless and desperate love
Floats among you without hope.
It seeks shelter,
But can find none.
It sails and swims,
It is forlorn.
In vain my love is,
“Time will heel” –
How people use to say.
But I can’t breathe,
I feel
Your presence every day.
Still, I will cherish the moments of spring,
Of blooming smiles and laugh,
Gathering them,
Composing
Into greenhouse of memories.

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain:
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
Emily Dickinson
Tomorrow is another day, even for the broken ones…
“I should have loved a thunderbird instead;
At least when spring comes they roar back again”.
― Sylvia Plath
