The 1st General Lyceum of Preveza actively participated in hosting students and teachers from the National Pedagogical College “Gheorghe Lazăr” in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, as part of the Erasmus+ mobility and the joint eTwinning project “Biodiversity Guardians: Protecting Nature Together.”
Our school team coordinated a range of meaningful activities combining culture, environmental awareness, and science:
🔹 A guided walking tour of Preveza’s historic center and seafront, introducing visitors to the local culture and history.
🔹 A visit to the Management Body of the Ambracian Gulf (OFYPEKA) for a presentation on local biodiversity and environmental protection.
🔹 A beach clean-up activity on the shores of the Ambracian Gulf, promoting sustainability and civic responsibility through action.
🔹 Educational visits to the archaeological sites of Nikopolis and ancient Kassopi, highlighting the region’s rich heritage.
🔹 A hands-on STEM workshop at our school, where students created natural soaps and cosmetics, connecting scientific theory to practical application.
Through these actions, our school contributed to an impactful eTwinning experience, fostering intercultural dialogue, experiential learning, and the development of environmental and scientific awareness. Both visiting and local students benefited from meaningful interactions that promoted European values, cooperation, and mutual respect.
